We have a chick!! There were a couple of glimpses this afternoon but the chick’s little wobbly head can be clearly seen a few times in this clip from 6:52pm. It’s a little dark but you should still be able to see it. #eaglecam #whitetailedeagle pic.twitter.com/20e3DhYAxl

The first feed!

Might as well ask here. We have 3 long eared owls in our trees in the garden. they put on a great dusk show and the sound of their wings while flying is great. also mating on our lawn last night, only two of them. Anybody know how common they are?
Long eared owls are our most common owl but don’t let that put you off watching them. You should report the sightings on the biodiversity Ireland tracker.
will do thanks for that, cuckoo and bats giving it socks too, got to love spring.
You have long eared owls and cuckoos? We have herring gulls and starlings.
Wanna swap?
Bats, pheasants, red squirrel, hares, foxes, pin martens, too It’s great.
you can be sure some kerry farmer will shoot it on the grounds of worrying his sheep. backed up by a healy-rae proclaiming that protecting endagered species is ‘interference from dublin people who know nothing rurdle ways’.
they use poison down there..

Do you know what is fabulous in Glengarrif ?
The West Cork Glengarrif series whiskey,
The peat charred is my favorite, a delicate smoke, there’s also a big oak if you like a little more zing !
My Whiskey choice of the year, gorgeous bottle too, well done design team.
*bog oak, damn this out of action right arm

Did I miss something?
What’s up with your arm?
ah I fractured my elblow, I have a metal bar the lenght of it anyway ( old arm wrestling injury) so just augmented the impact… terrible timing, tis grand tho
Fantastic news. Congrats to the parents and to all concerned in bringing back this iconic species to Ireland!
I love chicks
To be poisoned by local farmers – as before.
Does posting these images/video not give the knuckle draggers with their poison clues on where to find these great creatures?
…they’re too busy burning gorse at the moment…
