need to change the name. i work nearby and the amount of times ive been stopped over the years from tourists standing on that street and asking me to point to north georges street. the number is 2. twice ive been asked this.
Wouldn’t be against changing Dublin street names. There should be a Markievicz Street and a Roger Casement Street.
No hogan street then?
He has a pub named after him just out of view.
Would be worth it alone just to change the name of The George to The Roger….
They had a Luas even
Much less room for pedestrians now, it’s all given over to cars
Sadly it’s one of the very few streets in Dublin that hasn’t fallen to ‘progress’. I really don’t understand how the developers get away with tearing down beautiful buildings and erecting monstrosities in their place at the rate they do in Dublin. It’s disgraceful
