Google, Gmail and YouTube are currently all down for many users.
According to DownDetector, the issues started at around 11:56 GMT, and are affecting users worldwide
Google is yet to comment on the issues.
However, of those who reported issues with YouTube, 54% said they couldn’t access the website, 42% couldn’t watch videos and 3% were struggling to log-in.
The Mirror tried to access all three websites and was not able to.

did you know that most home wifi routers have 5G? Apparently faster speeds but poorer range than the 2.4G
5G mobile and 5GHz Wi-fi have nothing in common.
For one thing you don’t need to be vaccine-chipped to use 5GHz wi-fi.

My gmail down. Some twitter discussion of this. Eircom and mail.com working fine. I have a feeling it might be a good idea for people to set up a non-gmail email account.

Scype looks to be still working too. Maybe people who have gmail should turn scype on in case people are trying to contact them through scype. I have a feeling this is only the start though. Twitter next probably. Those who already have websites (like Broadsheet) may fare better as they can communicate through the comments sections making the comments private if necessary.
Strange times… more to come, no doubt!
I think gmail is back up now, but perhaps it’s a warning to archive stuff offline.
With all these Chinese hacks, who knows what might happen! ;-)

It’s got all the google logos all over it.
A good reminder to not use any cloud services as your number one saving point for important files. Use external hard drives primarily, then cloud as secondary. These outages will get more common over the next few years.

I had no problems with any of mine. Blame the Chinese and their deadly Huawei phones.
They may have the contents of my whatsapp, but I have an exceptionally reliable phone. Totally worth it.
