Bewley’s Christmas window (featuring a miniature Bewley’s).
Harry Warren writes:
In light of Johnny Ronan claiming that he owns the magnificent Harry Clarke stained glass windows in Bewley’s Cafe Dublin. I wonder will he also claim that he owns the miniature versions on display as a backdrop to the beautiful sculptures by Paddy Campbell currently on display in Bewley’s Cafe front windows?

…I’ve lived in Dublin on and off for more than 20years and love it dearly…I’ve never met anyone who claims to lionise the Johnies or Sam’s or Denis’ but the rape goes on and on…please stop…you’ve closed two of my favourite Bewleys so far…to be replaced by what?
I was on Grafton Street today and was surprised to see Bewleys open for business. Thought I read somewhere not so long ago that it had closed for good.
when you buy a house, you expect the windows to be included.
when you buy a house, you dont expect any furniture or diahorama to be included.
when johny ronan bought bewleys the contract would have stated what is included. contract terms would be standard and will have to be reviewed to be interpreted.
not sure why people think politics should decide this. big capitalist developer wants to keep window that local artist gave to the public.
I may be wrong but did he not buy the building with a protection order on it, and that would include the window, no?
If so, what would a protection order (I don’t know of that’s the right term) consider as “owned”, only that the owner must keep it as is.
Would love clarity on that…. Anyone?
