Biden makes a valid point that if the Afghans aren’t willing to fight, why should Americans have to. The US should have realised that Kabul could fall quickly and planned accordingly.

According to intelligence relayed on SKY news, the Afghan army never even fought in many zones because the Taliban already paid them to not bother. Afghan leadership and military leadership is so corrupt that they had already decided this is what they would do. A nice nest egg to go into exile with.

yea they are fierce craic them oul Yanks with their japes and their oul big ass planes and bombs and stuff

The Afghans arent fighting because their air force was made non-functional once the US left.
And because the US used to pay their salaries – now its been transferred to Kabul, and the money (and supplies) just arent arriving.

The US has been training and running the Afghan army for so long that nobody knew if they could do it themselves.

If the US had taught these men to fish, rather than fishing for them – maybe they could have fought back.

      Say it ain’t so, Joe…

“In 2010, he (Biden) told Richard Holbrooke, Obama’s special representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, that the U.S. had to leave Afghanistan regardless of the consequences for women or anyone else. According to Holbrooke’s diary, when he asked about American obligations to Afghans like the girl in the Kabul school, Biden replied with a history lesson from the final U.S. withdrawal from Southeast Asia in 1973: “Fuck that, we don’t have to worry about that. We did it in Vietnam, Nixon and Kissinger got away with it.”

to all those brave souls intending to stay behind to help those poor people…

I’m in awe of your selflessness but I 110% think you are being reckless, delusional, if ye think those Taliban animals are changed men

I fully admit I’d be at the airport and I hope you change your mind or get dragged out of it for your own sakes

wait until the Taliban marry themselves off to the single wemon stranded in Kabul, then they will be treated as less than slaves.

    1. SOQ

It was Trump’s plan to pull out but Biden did not have to follow it- at least not in that manner. It is being presented that the Taliban just advanced out of nowhere, but its pretty obvious that went in tandem with the western forces pulling out.

Why they invaded in the first place is another story but as per usual, it is the innocent civilians who are suffering.

If evidence was ever needed as how silly vaccine passports are, this is it.

A group of vaccinated Israelis that flew to Iceland for vacation have contracted the coronavirus. Harel insurance announced on Monday evening that it was sending a rescue flight to bring the Israelis in moderate and serious condition back to Israel. Iceland’s Iceland ‘vaccination rate’ is >80% btw.

    https://www.jpost.com/breaking-news/israelis-flew-to-iceland-30-contracted-covid-report-676835

It reminds me of the comment by a doctor after someone died from COVid-19 saying that it could have been worse if they hadn’t been vaccinated- which begs the question, how?

    1. Verbatim

Truth is the vaccine was never tested on a criteria of stopping transmission. That was just casually assumed. Governments let that assumption continue as an incentive to encourage vaccine uptake. The vaccines, at best, stop some from contracting a huge viral overload and dying.

      1. SOQ

Well it is one thing to mislead in order to encourage vaccine uptake but to use it as a means of bringing in domestic passports is downright dishonest.

    1. SOQ

The context is vaccine passports which are based on the faulty assumption that vaccinated do not spread SARS-CoV-2. We now know they can have just as high a viral load so apart from pandering to some sort of psychotic hypochondria, what exactly is the communitarian argument for them?

        Are you actually sick?

You ask the same question every day. It gets answered every day. And then the next day, you ask it again.

There’s something happening here but you don’t know what it is.. do you, Mr Jones?

‘Zbigniew Brzezinski died (May 26). He, more than anyone on the planet, deserves condemnation for having stoked the snakepit that is now the Middle East; not to mention unleashing the plague of militant Islamic terrorism now exploding across Europe.’

Builds up to a magnificent rant about the CIA, the Trilateral Commission, the Bilderberg Group, and Irish connections with the same.

Study it closely for tips on how to identify the rich people and power players who influence events and institutions and their dire effects on the world using historical records without tipping over into such unsubstantiated beliefs that, eg, the Clinton campaign was buying underage sex slaves from a pizza shop.
