    Quite astounding that his own son being admitted to hospital with heart inflammation hasn’t tapered his Covid vaccine evangelism in the slightest. To me, it’s a stark example of the psychosis that has gripped so many seemingly rational people

      So.. His son has had side effects of a vaccine.. All vaccines come with the same warning. In fact paracetamol comes with back pain as a side effect and if you have a triple bypass a side effect is soreness where the heat occurred.

      If you came across someone with those side effects after same would you recommend they stop taking paracetamol or advocate that people stop getting triple bypasses just like you think they should stop taking the vaccine?

        Ok MacGafraidh. In today’s IT “Cases in the 5-12 age group have risen 64 per cent in a fortnight, the most of any cohort. Nphet has flagged this as “concerning”. But it is not just the children. Infections have risen across older groups too, increasing by 50 to 60 per cent across all four age categories from the age of 35 up to 74 since mid-October”

        So, kids, who mix without social distancing the most of any group in the population and are being tested most, see a 64% rise in cases. The over 35 overwhelmingly vaccinated population sees a 50-60% rise. Clearly the vaccines have little, if any, effect on transmission. We also know kids are at almost no personal risk from the virus. So, this idiot Aussie has risked his son’s health for what? What exactly is the point of vaccinating his other 9 year old son? The man is clearly a brainwashed zealot who has swallowed whole the vaccine propaganda, because it sure as hell isn’t based on any science. This vaccinate everybody obsession has taken on a religious fervour with all of the irrational thinking that can involve. There is no scientific basis for vaccinating healthy young children. It’s sheer lunacy parading as sensible and rational behaviour, with a dash of mandatory virtue signalling thrown in for good measure.

    They’re at it again presenting misleading interpretations of figures to serve their vaccine agenda but now it’s kids who are being targeted. The Taoiseach and all Irish media are pointing to case numbers in the 5-12 age group (The target group) as being the highest rise in cases of any age group, 64%. They blame their lack of vaccination for this. What they neglect to focus on is the fact all other age groups, who are overwhelmingly vaccinated, have also seen a rise of between 50 and 60%. So, a 4% difference between the kids who are mixing without social distancing and masks. This 4% difference, which can easily be explained by the aforementioned behaviours, they are now trying to fool the Irish people into believing is due to their lack of vaccination. If people cannot see the clear deceit being engaged in by our politicians and health officials in their drive to vaccinate the entire population against a virus that poses no personal risk to the majority with a vaccine that clearly has little, if any, impact on transmission, we really have entered a collective psychosis.

    There is NO scientific basis for the vaccination of children. None. The fact this is not only denied, but the opposite claimed, and now they’re coming for primary school kids, should be setting off alarm bells in every parents head. Why are they so desperate to get these vaccines into our children?

      Unless you know the underlying figures comparing % increase is meaningless.

      A jump from 2 to 3 is a 50% increase.
      A jump from 1000 to 1500 is also a 50% increase

      The latter is much more concerning.

        Well, that is precisely how the politicians, health officials and media have conveyed this information and are using it for their latest propaganda push. “Oh no, kids cases up 64%!!! Better stick a vaccine or two into them” Same as before, when they are targeting a specific group for anything, that group suddenly appear in all the headlines alongside some deceitful and duplicious misrepresentation of figures. They used it only recently for the ICU figures and unvaccinated, conflating April to October figures with a subsequent October two week period. When the 12-16 age cohort were being targeted, the media was filled with the usual hysteria riddled headlines about cases in that age group. This garbage is such blatant propaganda and so clearly deceitful, yet you always jump forward to defend your masters.

            None sought or given. It was more of a “what’s your advice on getting the vaccine for kids ages blah” , “while there can be side effects but it is better to vaccinate them” (I’m paraphrasing, but the respond was very positive, with no hesitation).

            If I go to the doctor and they prescribe medicine to me I don’t ask for “medical rationale”. If i take an aspirin I don’t ask for a “medical rationale”. I don’t read all the list of possible side effects. Do you?

            Let me put it a different way then – did you ask the GP to explain to why she’s thinks you should get your children jabbed? It’s hardly the same as comparing it to taking aspirin given all the controversy to date such as the publicised adverse reactions, certain vaccines being taken off market after roll out, the rapidly waning efficacy, the contrasting opinions of various high-level experts who warn that the risk-to-benefit ratio for healthy children isn’t justified, etc. You seem rather blasé for such an important decision about your children’s health.

            Let me put it the same way – I asked her medical opinion on giving the jab to children (aged 12-17).
            She said yes.

            I didn’t grill her. I trust her, she’s been the family GP for 20 years. She doesn’t prescribe willy-nilly. On at least two occasions has started us on low doses of certain medicines and then observed us for a few months before deciding to increase the dosage (if/when necessary). I trust her.

            If I were you, I would press her to justify her stance. I wouldn’t worry too much about the possibility of offending her. It’s too important an issue.

            A good starting point, I think, would be to ask her about the information that was originally on the HSE’s own website regarding the risk-to-benefit ratio for the 12-17 age bracket.

            A person doesn’t need any specialist expertise to query why the HSE nevertheless went ahead and recommended the jabs for that age group, nor to question why they removed the above page without explanation. I’d ask for your GP’s opinion on this. If they’re unable to give any insight then I’d say it’s a sign that they’re just going with the flow and not thinking deeply enough about the issue.

            Currently the HSE’s case for child vaccinations appears to be largely reliant on the National Immunisation Advisory Committee’s recent advice that the Covid vaccines are somehow justified for children as a remedy to their psychological suffering caused by Covid.

            I think every parent should decide for themselves how credible they deem NIAC’s position to be, and should be able to ask their GP what they think specifically about this. It’s perfectly reasonable to ask your own GP if this is what she’s basing her recommendation on.

    Countdown begins to thousands of NYC city employees being put on unpaid leave from Monday, so some firefighters called in sick yesterday and some fire houses had to close.

    Interesting to watch the handwringing by politicians and claims that such actions will endanger lives when from Monday, they are going to suspend those very same people anyways. Unions have advised all staff to turn up for work regardless.

    According to the Mail- there is near 11 000 firefighters, 36 000 police and 10 000 first responders who are still unvaccinated.

    As I said before, it is a game of chicken and if it continues on this trajectory, absolute chaos will ensue- extraordinary stuff.

      Well either The Mail is right or it is wrong in its figures but I assume they didn’t just pick them out of think air. 57 000 firefighters, police and first responders ALONE- to be told to go home on Monday- even half that is crazy numbers.

      As for the ‘white trash’ comment above- apart from inherent snobbery of it- I am pretty certain such professions are fairly representative of the racial profile of NYC, they would have to be to do their jobs.

      The unions have advised everyone not to resign- which places the responsibility of what is about to happen squarely on the shoulders of those who instigated it.

        The Daily Mail may be conservative but it is a mainstream British newspaper- it is not ‘far right’ by any stretch of the imagination. It has been dutifully repeating the government’s vaccine propaganda right from day one.

        I included a search return rather than a specific story for this very reason- it’s been covered by a number of mainstream outlets and the actual figures are consistently 20–30% of all stories for the respective professions.
