Only know him as the guy who replaced the cola with água at the soccer press conference. Which was pretty cool.

Hence the byline above (taken from Jesus Christ Superstar – ‘ I don’t know how to love him’ Mary Magdalene)

Hmm, I hope we can get a result tonight. I will be watching and drinking for support. C’mon Ireland!

Not if I can help it. My voodoo doll is complete. I will put them pins in the groin every time he gets the ball!

i used to be a ronaldo hater. but seeing him now as the GOAT.

lot of adults here would love to say they saw maradona or pele. at least kids going to match tonight can say they saw the greatest.

Met Pele, very briefly in Dublin in 2006. It was quite by accident and sort of unfair as we have no grá for soccer at all.

Ronaldo told a press conference God put him on earth to play football.

When Messi was asked about this comment he answered “I don’t remember doing that!”

Poor Tadgh. Bitter man. People used go to matches specifically to see Stanley Matthews play. This is nothing new.
It’s a privilege to see a player like Ronaldo live. Anyone who loves football would know that deep down.
Ronaldo will be booed adult men tonight while their football playing children look on bemused
