Lol apparently someone is holding a gun to Broadsheet’s head and forcing them to post COVID and Ukraine content day in, day out.

Be the change you want to see in the world, guys!

    1. SOQ

It’s a syringe not a gun- the Rambo’s who headed off to join up with Ukraine’s version of the Ku Klux Klan, took all the guns with them.

They’ve been hypnotised to see the conspiracy in everything, only now they’ve switched from Covid scamdemic/plandemic hysteria to pro Putin (sure he’s only de-nazifying the place) hysteria.

      Conspiraloons are so easily led.

Surely it’s more of a commentary about people’s attention being swapped from one disaster to another.

I note that this is ANOTHER disaster that potentially effects me, you and everyone here via the potential for WW3 or at least some thread of nuclear war.

Hence our interest. Same with Covid “it might effect me – so now I’m interested.”

        NIMBY-ism at its best.

          1. Micko

I have no idea Bodger. They might be. I wouldn’t have a clue tbh.

But after two years of messing around and being mental to each other, I think we need to have an open mind for each others points and use our heads before we’re thrown into yet another dividing issue.

Rather than just labelling people “conspiraloons” etc

Just spending 30 secs and being a bit humble about all the “facts” we were told about Covid that then turned out to be wrong, should give anyone pause for thought.

Or we could learn nothing form the past two years and continue to crap on each other.

Which is the option I bet we go for.

Prove me wrong Broadsheet commenters :-)

            Small example.
A line or sentence was taken completely out context from a US Senate Hearing, then shoehorned onto some Chinese and Russian propaganda to,eh ehm ?
Further a widely debunked Russian propaganda campaign.
Against a backdrop of innocent civilians getting shelled and cities getting bombed back to the Middle Ages by,the same state spreading this propaganda, what is an accomplice ?

I’m lost, are the inferring that the invasion of Ukraine is a media ‘sexed up’ story that we shouldn’t be worried about?

        1. Daisy Chainsaw

In your case, the conspiraloon was easily followed and jabbed with the vaccine by MIBs.

    3. jonjoker

      A great cartoon.

Lots of people are noticing the similarities between the Covid propaganda and the Ukraine propaganda.

None of which means that Covid didn’t exist, nor that Russia didn’t invade Ukraine.

But we know we are being played, so be on your guard.

For now, but he’s not performing as expected, thaw out Putin-14 and see how quick we can get it online.

      1. SOQ

And the key words there are ‘as expected’. Expect the unexpected when it comes to the likes of Putin- at all times.

Meanwhile Biden is probably planning his invasion of… the US.

        1. Daisy Chainsaw

It was hardly unexpected that Putin would invade Ukraine, even when he lied and pinky swore that he wasn’t invading everyone knew he would.

          1. SOQ

If you think a military exercise like that is only an invade / not invade scenario, then I suggest you remove your American centric goggles- because it is not.

Just like back in the day up north, dichotomous thinking costs lives. Both sides broke promises and probably will again.

Anyone can go to war but it takes real leadership to reach a comprise- and to create peace.

          2. Daisy Chainsaw

Putin can’t be trusted. He’s the abusive partner who swears he’ll never do it again. No consessions by Ukraine will ever be enough for him.

          3. paul

and Putin loves a bit of peace, can’t get enough of it really. He loves it so much, he’ll invade another country, oversee thousands of civilian and combatant deaths and continually lie through his teeth to get that peace. Oooh yes, peace on toast, a cup of liberty, can’t bate it.

          4. SOQ

‘Putin’ is not the one sticking all sorts of dangerous poo in the Ukraine? And it is safe to assume we don’t know the half or it yet.

If it was the other way around and Russia or China were meddling in Mexico- what do you think would happen? The entire country, and all its inhabitants, would be fried.

          5. paul

the name ‘SOQ-puppet’ has never been more relevant. Putin would be proud.

Anyway, I’m late for lunch, seeya.

          6. Ian - oG

Daisy, your conditioning appears to be wearing off.

Report to room 101 for re-education immediately.

          7. Nigel

You think Russia is still communist? It’s a neoliberal hypercapitalist gangster state.

          8. Daisy Chainsaw

@Ian, you’re right. The hair’s a bit dry today so I’ll indulge in a nice hot oil treatment after work and soothe my parched tresses. It should give me the conditioning I need.

          9. George

It is truly evil to call the war happening now in Ukraine a “military exercise”. No empathy whatsoever.

  2. SOQ

    Look into the Ukraine
    Don’t look around the Ukraine
    Look directly into the Ukraine
    You’re under!

The past two years didn’t happen.

You’re back in the RTÉ newsroom.

Ah, the NPCs, they barely have the attention span of a spaniel, brains turned to mush by years of goggle box addiction. Imagine, at this stage, still taking the Legacy Media seriously, I mean, seriously? These people are more damaged than that, even, they actually believe the transparent nonsense that’s spewed out by it.
Just observe how their puerile brains line this up, none of them refer to Russia, instead they personify the biggest country in the world as its leader, “Putin invades”, “Putin is a madman”, “Putin is Hitler”, Putin this, Putin that, as if somehow, any other Russian leader would lead to a different outcome.
Trapped in a state of arrested development, they see the world as a cartoon, they have to be convinced that they’re the Good guys, the White Hats, lacing their every utterance with the sickly-sweet flavour of infantile self-righteousness & blocking them, ultimately, from any real, pragmatic, objective understanding of geo-politics or the adult world, itself.
I don’t think for one second that Putin is a nice guy OR Hitler, he’s merely acting in his country’s interests, something not a single politician in the West has done, for decades. He tried talking, for 15 years, it didn’t work, it never does, with the USA.
