Facebook and Instagram have allowed and profited from advertising pushing the false Ukraine-US biolabs conspiracy theory:
Except there are US funded biolabs in Ukraine. Now, obviously the Western “Fact Checkers” who always support Anglo American and globalist corporatist narratives say these are purely benign. They would, wouldn’t they? Facebook were forced to concede in a recent court case that their fact checkers are not in fact (tedum tish!) checking facts. They are merely “expressing opinions” (journalist John Stossel case).
Now, these confirmed biolabs (Vicky “F the EU” Nuland) are admitted to be “researching diseases”. We have yet to be told what these diseases are and why the US Department of Defense was funding the research of them. Oh, purely to protect against those diseases, we’ll be told, but how do we know this is true? The exact same research is similarly capable of providing offensive capabilities. All weapons can be claimed to be defensive yet can also serve as offensive weapons.
Obviously, the idiot brigade immediately believe whatever the State Department and Politifact (I mean, its got like “fact” in it’s name, so…) say, because those lads never lie. Wise heads say, we’ll await further disclosures before making up our minds. Neither side is trustworthy so to take at face value either side, without reasonable objectively verifiable evidence is a fools game. By labelling it a conspiracy theory Feargainm, you most clearly, and unsurprisingly it must be said, place yourself very much in that Club of Fools.
P.S. looks like a peace deal pretty much exactly like that put forward on this site by myself and others at the beginning of this conflict (i.e. a neutral Ukraine not in NATO) may be on the cards. The witless warmongering NATO cheerleaders on here who sought to fan the flames of war with mindless calls for more weapons, more aggression, no fly zones, the further endangering of global security and so on, are now left with their willies in their hand waving their Tipperary flags at the St Patrick’s Day parade. Happy St. Patrick’s Day xxx

‘Oh look! A two sentence reply complete with 1st year attempt at trying to portray some sort of knowledge.’
Even first years know that biolabs study diseases and if you don’t start wars there’s usually peace. Some people, on the other hand, have extreme difficulty with these concepts.
‘Remember Nigel had no issue with lots of countries invading Syria.’
Not true. You, on the other hand, support Putin/Assad war crimes.
‘Had the unthinkable happened and Hillary was elected this war would have escalated years ago.’
Unlikely. Putin wouldn’t have had Trump working away to undermine NATO for him.
E'Matty
“Even first years know that biolabs study diseases” and can you explain why it would be the Department of Defense and not Health operating these biolabs Nige? Do we have biolabs run by our own Department of Defense and if so, what do they research?
Nigel
Have you actually looked for an explanation or are you just letting the unanswered question hang there as a rhetorical device to arouse maximum suspicion? The use of supposition and insinuation in the absence of proof is overwhelming. I’m prepared to believe the very worst about the US military and defence Department and their private contractors, but it’s also an obvious breeding ground for conspiracy theories and, in this case, Russian pro-war propaganda. I would suppose finding ways to deal with leftover or potential Russian bioweapons is a Defence concern, as is the potential of natural disease outbreaks. If they’d found evidence of actual bioweapons research at those labs, we’d have seen it by now.
K.Cavan
“I’m prepared to believe the very worst about the US military and defence Department and their private contractors”.
You have to hand it to Nigel, folks, his brass neck has a brass neck growing out if it

E'Matty
Eh, where did I say anything about the biolabs justifying invasion Nige? I pointed out the clear questions that still hang over those biolabs and what exactly the Yanks were up to with them? Biolabs for research of diseases operated under the US Department of Defense is worthy of investigation.
Nigel
You didn’t. But that is what this story is about – justifying the invasion through propaganda and disinformation related to these biolabs. To pretend otherwise is disingenuous.
K.Cavan
No, Nigel, not invading would’ve meant US nuclear missiles in Ukraine, which would’ve meant Russian nuclear missiles aimed at Ukraine. It would’ve also meant NATO war games being played on Russia’s doorstep, which would’ve forced the Russians into a military buildup on their border.
With the invasion, Russia avoided that escalation. At a heavy cost, they’ve managed to, hopefully, extract a permanent settlement that doesn’t carry the risk of nuclear war. Events off the battlefield have taken a very interesting turn, however, with Russia, China, India, Brazil, S. Africa, S. Arabia, etc taking the first steps to usher in a multipolar international order, the single biggest change in geo-politics since the collapse of the USSR.
Keen as I am to keep abreast of developments in this area, the lack of a functioning mass media meant this all took me by surprise, The West has become a backward-looking, badly-run backwater, of little interest to & often deservedly despised by the rest of the world. It will probably be some time before the dust settles on this but we’re no longer in pole position, that’s for sure.
There’s a New World Order emerging but not the one envisaged by the megalomaniac, authoritarian dullards who run The West.
Nigel
‘No, Nigel, not invading would’ve meant US nuclear missiles in Ukraine….’
Oh no, poor Russia, hates pointing missiles at people and playing wargames on their doorstep, so respectful they are of other countries security and sovereignity. Invading meant all of Ukraine’s fears about Russia were entirely justified, and, of course there were no missiles being put into Ukraine, and Russia builds up military forces on borders whenever it feels like it.
‘Russia avoided that escalation.’
They escalated to avoid escalation? They have avoided absolutely nothing.
‘taking the first steps to usher in a multipolar international order, the single biggest change in geo-politics since the collapse of the USSR.’
An order of tyranical corrupt petrostates. Awesome. In your brain, maybe.
‘There’s a New World Order emerging but not the one envisaged by the megalomaniac, authoritarian dullards who run The West.’

Aunty Bot, this war started in 2014 & the Zelensky Regime has killed 14,000 people by shelling its own citizens because they were of Russian ethnicity. How many civilians do you reckon have died in this invasion, anything more accurate or meaningful than “lots”? Crimea ran away from that Regime immediately, knowing it was installed by two violent coups that cost the CIA $5 billion to ferment. Half the refugees are men fleeing the draft, as much as they might love their country, they’re not prepared to die for their gangster government. Most Ukrainians detest the Zelensky Regime. I never said “the Ukrainians are Nazis”, what a dumb thing to say.

Interesting thread regarding Eurostat excess deaths numbers.
Quote “When people question why NPHET did what they did, I think part of the answer is in this thread.

You’re about three months too late with whatever nonsense you’re spouting, stephen. You realise the fake vaccines didn’t work, right? Looking at viruses in bats is a waste of time Nigel, only Ebola, Marburg, Nipah, Hendra, Rabies, all the other Lyssaviruses, SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV-2 have spilled over in the last 50 years. Clearly it’s bioweapons research. Clearly.

Eh, Alick https://www.nature.com/articles/nature.2015.18787
2015 coronavirus gain of function research with bats “An experiment that created a hybrid version of a bat coronavirus — one related to the virus that causes SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) — has triggered renewed debate over whether engineering lab variants of viruses with possible pandemic potential is worth the risks.”
So, we have established that the Wuhan lab was working with US National Institutes of Health (NIH) and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, on gain of function research to create a hybrid version of a bat coronavirus related to SARs with “pandemic potential” back in 2015. Less than five years later, a SARs-like bat coronavirus sweeps the globe, originating, by pure coincidence obviously, from Wuhan. Wuhan is a well known super popular vacation spot for bats. We’ll ignore the fact no actual evidence of animal origin has ever been identified for SARS-COV2, but that’s just a minor discrepancy.
Then, there is the separate issue of US backed Ukrainian biolabs which you laugh off. Can you perhaps tell us why such labs would be operating under the control of the US Department of Defense and what kind of disease research this might have been, in your informed opinion? Herpes perhaps? Is it that you don’t believe the US actively develops exceptionally dangerous viruses and diseases, which can be turned into biological weapons? Curious to see why you scoff so easily at something that may be so dark. Educate us please Alick
f_lawless
There’s “Looking at viruses” and then there’s the insanely reckless process of “modifying viruses and other pathogens to make them deadlier to humans (aka “gain of function”)”.
It also encouraged scientists involved in such research on the influenza, SARS and MERS viruses to voluntarily pause their work while its risks were reassessed.
Opponents of this type of research, called gain of function — for example, attempts to create a more contagious version of the lethal H5N1 avian influenza to learn which mutations made it that way — were elated.’
“Brilliant!” said Peter Hale, the executive director of the Foundation for Vaccine Research, which opposes such experiments. “The government has finally seen the light. This is what we have all been waiting for and campaigning for. I shall sleep better tonight.” ‘
The pause on funding only lasted until 2017
Nigel
YET AGAIN absolutely not the slightest shred of evidence that this was being done in the relevant labs in Ukraine. It’s all inference, speculation and allegation to shore up a consipracy theory Russia stole wholesale off the internet. Trying to bridge the ‘bioweapons being manufactured on the Russian border’ and the ‘biolabs have pathogens in them’ gap is hard work, but you’re doing your best.
SOQ
UN Representative for Brazil calls for biological weapons investigations in Ukraine.

seriously, the invasion of Ukraine and the killing of 1000s of civilians has all to do with covid? what the eff is wrong with you? You’re the same troll that stated that there wasn’t a problem with covid it didn’t kill anyone. Right wing denier or just uneducated?
Nigel
Because there is no credible evidence to launch such an investigation, and responding might give credence to Russian propaganda? Maybe if Putin offered to let inspectors into his biolabs at the same time as a show of good faith?
Nigel
‘Less than five years later, a SARs-like bat coronavirus sweeps the globe, originating, by pure coincidence obviously, from Wuhan.’
So the reseasch into bats showed that it was possible for a coronavirus to develop into something that could infect humans, then a coronavirus developed into something that could infect humans. The research, shockingly, was done in proxiimty to the source. I’m not ruling out the possibility of a lab leak, but so far there’s no evidence that it happened.
‘Is it that you don’t believe the US actively develops exceptionally dangerous viruses and diseases, which can be turned into biological weapons?’
I suspect it’s the complete lack of any evidence that this is being done in the relevant labs, and the obvious, entirely public, way this conspiracy theory evolved online to be taken up wholesale by Russia, and the way you are trying to conflate the study of pathogens with the develoment of bioweapons.
K.Cavan
It doesn’t matter, Nigel, whether Russia obtains some sort of PR coup from discovering that the US was doing deadly bio-weapons research in the secret labs it hid away in Ukraine, the important part is we know the truth of what we’re dealing with. Europe is our continent, the US is in little danger from anything that might happen in these labs, it seems obvious that’s why they were located there. To hell with Uncle Sam’s lack of morality, we all know they’re untrustworthy savages, an investigation is undeniably a matter of urgency.
It’s utter lunacy, even by your standards, Nigel, to even question this.
f_lawless
Nigel give the ‘comment police’ persona a rest. It’s tiresome. You’re so far gone that any critique of western establishment narratives is synonymous with “conspiracy theory” and any evidence which contradict those narratives is automatically “disinformation”.
Shouting “NO ACTUAL EVIDENCE” is just you trying to shut to shut down the debate by making impossible demands for the kind of evidence that only a select inner circle would have access to. The rest of us are perfectly entitled to indulge in reasoned speculation based on, for example, what evidence already is in the public domain, the past actions and statements of those involved and credible expert opinion on US’ bioweapons development (eg. Dr Francis Boyle who drafted the U.S. domestic implementing legislation for the Biological Weapons Convention, known as the Biological Weapons Anti-Terrorism Act of 1989).
__________
Here’s an example of some of the statements/behaviours/actions etc which, taken together, are reason enough to me why I shouldn’t take US claims at face value that nothing untoward is going on in Ukraine’s biolabs.
1) Victoria Nuland was asked a recent Senate hearing “does Ukraine have chemical or biological weapons?”
Rather than an emphatic “No”, she says: “Ukraine has biological research facilities”, is worried that Russia might get their hands on the “research” and the danger of a biological attack if they do.
2) For the last two decades, the US has ensured that the UN’s Biological Weapons Convention has remained toothless by resisting calls from a majority of leading nations (including Russia and China) to allow for the implementation a protocol whereby nations could be systematically monitored for compliance with the international ban on bioweapons development.
The rationale the US has given for resisting has been that there’s no point in even trying as biowarfare is just too easily disguised as biodefence – in other words, the processes can be indistinguishable.
Under Secretary of State Ellen O. Tauscher:
“It is extraordinarily difficult to verify compliance. The ease with which a biological weapons program could be disguised within legitimate activities and the rapid advances in biological research make it very difficult to detect violations. We believe that a protocol would not be able to keep pace with the rapidly changing nature of the biological weapons threat”
3) This article from 2010 describes how a US-funded biolab in Odessa, Ukraine was not merely studying viruses in the wild but “researching dangerous pathogens used by bioterrorists” such as “anthrax, tularemia and Q fever as well as others”. In other words manufacturing bioweapons in the the name of “biodefence”.
U.S. Sen. Dick Lugar applauded the opening of the Interim Central Reference Laboratory in Odessa, Ukraine, this week, announcing that it will be instrumental in researching dangerous pathogens used by bioterrorists.
The level-3 bio-safety lab, which is the first built under the expanded authority of the Nunn-Lugar Cooperative Threat Reduction program, will be used to study anthrax, tularemia and Q fever as well as other dangerous pathogens.”
Nigel
‘It doesn’t matter, Nigel, whether Russia obtains some sort of PR coup’
I’m glad you realise it’s pure PR.
‘Shouting “NO ACTUAL EVIDENCE” is just you trying to shut to shut down the debate’
Oh, I just like to keep in sight the fact that all this reasoned speculation is in service to fueling pro-war propaganda. But now your reasoned debate has literally put actual evidence out of bounds as unreasonable, so let speculation and inference reign!
‘You’re so far gone that any critique of western establishment narratives is synonymous with “conspiracy theory’
See that? That’s a straw man.
‘any evidence which contradict those narratives is automatically “disinformation”. ‘
You just admitted you weren’t going to find or present any evidence.
K.Cavan
You realise listing a series of diseases is not helping in trying to imply that these labs were not doing dangerous research & perhaps that’s why they were located in Ukraine, alick?

Interviews over the past several months with four Syrian men who worked at or near secret mass graves led to an examination of satellite images, which in turn revealed the locations of the two sites. The sites could also contain powerful evidence of war crimes committed by al-Assad’s forces, including the systematic torture and the killing of detainees. Throughout Syria’s 11-year civil war, more than 144,000 people disappeared into government detention centers. Many of them are presumed dead.

So, you wanted ISIS or Jabhat Al Nusra to take Damascus, is it Stephen? Stephen loves the auld headchoppers so he does.
Nigel
To save Damascus from ISIS they had to fill mass graves with tortured and murdered civilians.
Duncan Wheeler
So again, no evidence at all, whatsoever. “Believed to be” “Could contain powerful evidence” “The evidence of four men”. Come back when you have some evidence.
K.Cavan
Would you ever give over, stephen. The Bush Doctrine saw the US attempt to interfere in the internal politics of Syria, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan & Egypt, using every illegal method available to them for no reason whatsoever & with nothing to show for it but turning those countries into charnel houses. Wholesale War Crimes on an unprecedented scale, that Ireland facilitated, to its eternal shame.
Yet you think some possible mass graves are a problem? That these mass graves, if they exist, might reveal something, something, something?
Who brought war to Syria? The USA did, the blood of every victim of those wars is on the USA’s hands. Everybody knows this.
You’re barking up the wrong tree.
Or just barking.
You’re even more of a spoofing goon than Nigel.
Impressive.

This interview with Dr. Peter McCullough was banned from YouTube because some spotty intern “factchecker” obviously knows more. “If you want to know the truth, look at who is being silenced”- anon
Dr. Peter McCullough: You are more likely to be hospitalized after having jabs and boosters then catching Covid after.
In summary- the CoVid-19 vaccines are doing the exact opposite of what they were claimed to do.
So to those of you on here who were championing this poison and especially those who felt they had a right to abuse and bully others- make no mistake- you were part of this criminality, you are not the good guys.
May your God forgive you because once the full truth of this damage is known, the rest of us will probably have a very hard time doing so.
E'Matty
Ah, let them get jab 4. It might be for the best. We’ve done all we can.
SOQ
Yes I know E’Matty but with this emerging evidence, I am wondering why the hell I am even bothering with those idiots.
There are two groups of vaccinated- those who were bullied or coerced or just took the medical advice at face value. They are not at fault and, those who witch hunted and used the most vindictive language to censor and supress alternative points of view.
I won’t mince my words- those people, including a number on this site, have blood on their hands, but that doesn’t even seem to bother them, because they are still at it.
Cleary no self-reflection let alone guilt of conscience because getting one over and slurring and smearing is still way more important than anything else.
I don’t wish harm on anyone but if there is to be a section of the people who are going to suffer these vaccine injuries, I hope and pray it is these sorts- because they bloody deserve it- disgusting individuals.
K.Cavan
SOQ & E’Matty, you’ve both been dealing with these goons on here long enough to know that they are not normal, well-adjusted individuals. You know, deep down, that these are exactly the sort who cheered on Stalin, Mao, Hitler & Fauci.
Clearly, they can function within our society but I’m pretty sure people who encounter them in everyday life can sense there’s something missing in their psyches, if it’s so obvious from their posts that they’re low-level psychopaths.
This sort used to be called sociopaths, to distinguish them from mass murderers & the like but that terminology was discarded a while ago, to be replaced with a spectrum of Psychopathy, similar to the Autistic one & these weirdos are at the lower end of that scale.
They’re mentally ill, there’s no doubt about it, we’re arguing with some very, very sick puppies here.

Covid deaths in the US approaching one million. GFY and the McCullough you rode in on.
K.Cavan
Nigel, all death & hospitalisation attributed to Covid are downstream of a fake test, which the media & government have claimed can “detect Covid”. A test that can detect Covid or infection with any virus is a scientific impossibility, no such tests exist.
No statistics based on this fake test have any veracity. When you say “a million Covid deaths in the US” what you’re actually saying, scientifically, is that a million people died who may have had some RNA in their snot, prior to death.
You do have blood on your hands, you’ve come on here, repeatedly, venturing your opinion about subjects that you never bothered to investigate & about which you have demonstrated spectacular ignorance. You had plenty of time & resources available to you but you know nothing more about viruses, vaccines or science than you did when this started.

Janet, dreams of an alternate universe
One for K. Cavan, who doesn’t like all that foreign stuff ( except Christianity ),
Without doubt the mythology of Maewyn Succat driving out the snakes from Ireland has endured, despite being completely fictional. The allegory is that the symbol of the snake throughout the ancient world (Celtic, Greek, Mesopotamian, Persian, Egyptian) represented medical health and healing, with the snake wrapped around a staff, commonly referred to as the Rod of Asclepius. In the hidden stream celtic mythology, the cloak that Dian Cecht had all the healing cures, was made from the skin of a snake. As previously mentioned druidism was the educated, elite of Celtic society and akin to the present day academic qualifications and institutions. Maewyn Succat’s attack on Druidism, that today’s version is the same as vibrant anti-intellectualism and anti-educational that is part of the conservative mantra, which includes attacking medical science. The same applied to driving out the knowledge of health, and healing by the symbolic driving the snakes out of Ireland.

Thanks Janet
Any citation per chance?
K.Cavan
Well, Janet Dreams, my genuine response to this is…
You what?
I did take a Yale course on The Middle Ages & it did confirm what I’d been told of the exploits of the Irish in Christianising Europe, indeed at one stage Europe was divided between those practicing Irish Christianity & the Roman version. However, as this meant neighbouring towns throughout Europe were often to be found celebrating Easter & other religious feasts at different times of the year, it all eventually became unified.
This is the kind of stuff I like, the gibberish in your post, which I’m assuming you didn’t write, actually made me slightly queasy.
Janet, dreams of an alternate universe
I thought it would tickle you,
Yale is it ?
Janet, dreams of an alternate universe
I didn’t write it obviously, it’s just a wee worm on a line and no sorry mad, citation, I can’t find the link.
Cavan, I find it interesting you were studying Christianity and interesting that you refer to booga booga in the other thread…I find it interesting that you conflate Irishness with Christianity when it’s such a thin and scratchy blanket.
K.Cavan
In fact, the biggest religious event in The Middle Ages was the Rise of Islam, Janet, it came bursting out of Arabia, not as a religion but as an empire, during that time. Conquering the Eastern Roman Empire & The Persian Empire was it’s first major impact on history.
I never conflated Irishness with Christianity, though it’s an important part of our identity. I’d be inclined to assume you probably have an irrational hatred or at least distaste for both, anyway, so you probably brought that to the table yourself. A wee bigotry you allow yourself, because it makes you feel “European” or something similarly “modern”?
Ireland has a problem with denigrating it’s own culture, in comparison with any old claptrap that seems exotic, that’s the attitude of peasants. I’m not a peasant but I don’t know about you, Janet.
Janet, dreams of an alternate universe
hmmm not sure what I was expecting, a lot of assumptions there, I have a rational dislike of ALL religions to answer your question, as for the matter of my ” class ” my Mother always said it’s something you can’t buy ;)
K.Cavan
Yes, Yale, their professors are fantastic, very New England, very eccentric, very intelligent, absolutely brilliant men & utterly fantastic teachers.
The best moment was the Music Theory lecturer putting on some hip-hop & dancing, completely out of time with the beat, I had to download that bit, it’s a keeper.
Funny that you’ve surmised I don’t like “foreign stuff”, given my own origin but there you go, you’re not adept at reading people, not everyone is. I do hope you haven’t been taken in, repeatedly, by liars, throughout your life.

“…Speaking at the Global Space Exploration Conference (GLEX) in St. Petersburg, Russia, on Wednesday (June 16), Chinese and Russian space officials said they were already in negotiations with international partners including the European Space Agency (ESA), Thailand, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia to join their endeavour…”
Try to work out the import using this part of the ESA statement:
“…Following the decision by Roscosmos to withdraw their personnel from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana, all missions scheduled for launch by Soyuz have been put on hold. These concern essentially four institutional missions for which ESA is the launch service procurement entity (Galileo M10, Galileo M11, Euclid and EarthCare) and one additional institutional launch…”

Facebook and Instagram have allowed and profited from advertising pushing the false Ukraine-US biolabs conspiracy theory:
https://www.mediamatters.org/facebook/facebook-and-instagram-have-allowed-and-profited-advertising-pushing-false-ukraine-us
Except there are US funded biolabs in Ukraine.
Wow biolabs research diseases you say what the hell? Invade!
You know what else would have brought about peace? Not invading!

Toddle along Nigel. You’re already a busted flush at 07:58 hrs.
Remember Nigel had no issue with lots of countries invading Syria.
If its a Democrat invasion, he’s all for it..
Had the unthinkable happened and Hillary was elected this war would have escalated years ago.
People who should know better are such gullible idiots
“Even first years know that biolabs study diseases” and can you explain why it would be the Department of Defense and not Health operating these biolabs Nige? Do we have biolabs run by our own Department of Defense and if so, what do they research?
“I’m prepared to believe the very worst about the US military and defence Department and their private contractors”.
You have to hand it to Nigel, folks, his brass neck has a brass neck growing out if it
I know, you guys don’t put any store by proof or evidence, that’s just for normies.
Eh, where did I say anything about the biolabs justifying invasion Nige? I pointed out the clear questions that still hang over those biolabs and what exactly the Yanks were up to with them? Biolabs for research of diseases operated under the US Department of Defense is worthy of investigation.
You didn’t. But that is what this story is about – justifying the invasion through propaganda and disinformation related to these biolabs. To pretend otherwise is disingenuous.
Oh yes, one run by exciting, sparkling megalomaniac authoritarian dullards. They’ll be kept very busy stabbing each other in the back whenever opportunity arises.
You really are either thick or a troll. Russia invaded a country, killed loads of non military people, caused a huge refugee crisis, but its the fault of the West? I thought you said the Urkanians were Neo Nazis, and therefore deserved to be killed. when did you join qanon? you do realise what the q level of security is?
I never said “the Ukrainians are Nazis”, what a dumb thing to say.

https://www.ukrinform.net/rubric-polytics/3430195-china-will-never-attack-ukraine-ambassador-assures.html
Fan Xianrong, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Ukraine
Thanks for that, Ferg, everyone was worried about that.
What are you on, man, Quaaludes?
Surge of HIV, tuberculosis and COVID feared amid war in Ukraine
https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-022-00748-6
…Rachynska’s network, which has relocated its offices from Kyiv to western Ukraine, is telling its clients not to be afraid to disclose their HIV status when they cross into other European countries — but instead to go to hospitals and ask for their drugs. “Everything that is happening in Ukraine is also affecting the other countries [where people are fleeing],” said WHO’s Papowitz at the briefing, “so it’s a real regional crisis.”
And such surges were not possible when it was the US at war? Ah but sure they were just brown and black people- so of no real importance.
Well, SOQ, you have to remember, the idea most normies have of war is the US pounding countries into the Stone Age, before arriving in their war machines, declaring victory. The aforementioned pounding tends to have a sterilising effect.
Well, Ferg, I reckon lead poisoning will be more dangerous to the participants in this or any war but it’s good to know that your obsession with disease will accompany you to your grave. NPHET did a right number on you Covidians, didn’t it? Slit you up a treat.
https://www.science.org/content/article/russians-must-know-it-s-lie-ukrainian-bat-research-spun-false-tale-bioweapons
…you may well be right about the erroneous nature of research carried out in those bio labs…but they were US funded after all…so the Russians took the wise precaution of bombing them anyway…
It’s not erroneous, it’s deliberate and transparent lying.
…do you have any proof of it being deliberate and transparent lying on the side of the Russians…because the world has loads of proof of deliberate and transparent lying on the part of the yanks…
Well the complete lack of actual proof for any of their claims should be enough, but then there are the words of scientists whose work is being lied about in the article you just read, and don’t the Russians routinely lie like this in the course of their invasions and interventions? This seems like faux naivete on your part.
…so lack of proof is the new proof…never took you as being one for doublespeak, Nigel…are you going down Orwell’s road?
A certain razor?
Surely you mean Free Ukraine’s Road, Bisted?
Yea yes sorry I know this one’s yours
But fish, barrels etc
‘so lack of proof is the new proof’
Only when you’re granting credibility to Russia’s claims. For the rest of us, it means ‘not proven.’
“not proven..”
Lol
Russiagate
You can lead a Harney to water, but you can’t make him think.
The sound of nigel crumbling. The usual fare, opinions without any evidence. Stop being so emotional nige.
‘opinions without any evidence’
A bit like Russia’s claims about bioweapons.
The thing is, Nigel, the US had 30 or so biolabs in Ukraine, many miles from Washington, why? Why do you reckon they had biolabs? Why do you reckon they were located in “Europe’s most corrupt country”? Why on another continent?
You can lead a Nigel to water but why bother?
To do bioresearch relevant to Ukraine, I expect.
So, they were researching Ukrainian pathogens. Right.
What a bunch of crap, even you couldn’t be dense enough to believe that, you time waster.
Unreal, I know, the very idea that they have pathogens in Ukraine. Or scientists specialising in bioresearch who look for funding to study them.
Crumble crumble. Nigel doesn’t know when to stop digging.
I see I’ve pushed you to broaden your range of expressions, even if you still just keep saying the same things.
They all apply to you.
Your applications have been rejected.
Tsk tsk. So you think.
Straight to the circular filing cabinet.
In your case, a vicious circular one.
Yes, it’s a shredder.
Circular shredders are great for crumbling things. No wonder you have one.
Wasn’t it Bat research in Wuhan too?
https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/asia_pacific/coronavirus-bats-china-wuhan/2021/06/02/772ef984-beb2-11eb-922a-c40c9774bc48_story.html
Wasn’t what bat research? Wasn’t bat research in Wuhan also bat research? Are all those bat researchers in on something together? Yes, bat research.
Isn’t it a bit early for you to be going bats*it crazy already today Batman?
Is today St. Batrick’s day in your little world?
I imagine living with Nigel is very similar to life with Jack Nicholson’s character in ‘The Shining’. Nigel also wrote a book once you know. A fantasist’s world for children. Everything in black and white. Big pictures. Spell it out for the kids there Nigel
Do more research, Giggidy, only try not start a war or a plague while you’re at it.
‘Big pictures. Spell it out for the kids there Nigel’
Kids are smarter.
You should have done your own research before you rode in on your white horse with your comment
That would be good advice if you could point out what I got wrong instead of… whatever it is you think you do when you start yelling from the ditch like this.
Nigel’s usual daily crash and burn
Giggidy’s usual skipped-record catchphrase – and nothing else.
You’re not having a good day, or week for that matter.
Do some research before commenting. If you don’t, you just show off how stupid you are.
You still haven’t explained what was wrong with my original comment, you know.
No point. You wouldn’t understand.
Too complex for you to explain coherently? Sounds plausible.
‘ You still haven’t explained what was wrong with my original comment, you know.’
You pasted a link. So, what was your original comment?
Are you wondering why I wrote that you wouldn’t understand now? Or are you that thick? Really?
Crash, burn, crumble. You’re not very clever now are you?
My original comment was the lnk. You still haven’t explained what was wrong with it. Or what was right about it. Or anything.
You are that thick then. A link isn’t a comment made by you. It’s copying a link. Only.
This must be your worst day yet. You’ve put in a long shift.
My worse day yet because I put a link in a comment and called it a comment. By that standard I’m doing pretty well, I have to say, beside your palpable desperation to somehow catch me out.
Eh – no. You put in a link with no comment. Proving you can’t think for yourself. Try again.
Yeah, still, worst day yet? You’re trying too hard. The link spoke for itself. You should try it sometime.
‘The link spoke for itself’
But you didn’t make a comment.
‘ You still haven’t explained what was wrong with my original comment, you know.’’
I think I explained it well enough that even you’ve finally understood then? You didn’t make a comment. You pasted a link. Good you know the difference now.
Clearly.
In layman’s language- what is the difference between a bio-weapon and just a dangerous pathogen?
Yeah alick, it was the bat’s that weaponised the virus’..
Bruce Wayne: War Criminal.
There’s “Looking at viruses” and then there’s the insanely reckless process of “modifying viruses and other pathogens to make them deadlier to humans (aka “gain of function”)”.
NY Times 2014:
https://web.archive.org/web/20141022040239/https://www.nytimes.com/2014/10/18/us/white-house-to-cut-funding-for-risky-biological-study.html
‘Prompted by controversy over dangerous research and recent laboratory accidents, the White House announced Friday that it would temporarily halt all new funding for experiments that seek to study certain infectious agents by making them more dangerous.
YET AGAIN absolutely not the slightest shred of evidence that this was being done in the relevant labs in Ukraine. It’s all inference, speculation and allegation to shore up a consipracy theory Russia stole wholesale off the internet. Trying to bridge the ‘bioweapons being manufactured on the Russian border’ and the ‘biolabs have pathogens in them’ gap is hard work, but you’re doing your best.
UN Representative for Brazil calls for biological weapons investigations in Ukraine.
https://www.bitchute.com/video/CS6wg9uv7XJf/
Given the potential risks posed- why should anybody have an objection to this?
seriously, the invasion of Ukraine and the killing of 1000s of civilians has all to do with covid? what the eff is wrong with you? You’re the same troll that stated that there wasn’t a problem with covid it didn’t kill anyone. Right wing denier or just uneducated?
Because there is no credible evidence to launch such an investigation, and responding might give credence to Russian propaganda? Maybe if Putin offered to let inspectors into his biolabs at the same time as a show of good faith?
The rationale the US has given for resisting has been that there’s no point in even trying as biowarfare is just too easily disguised as biodefence – in other words, the processes can be indistinguishable.
https://geneva.usmission.gov/2009/12/09/tauscher-bwc/
In other words manufacturing bioweapons in the the name of “biodefence”.
https://web.archive.org/web/20110522081423/http://www.bioprepwatch.com/news/213421-biolab-opens-in-ukraine
“Biolab opens in Ukraine
by Tina Redlup on June 18, 2010
You realise listing a series of diseases is not helping in trying to imply that these labs were not doing dangerous research & perhaps that’s why they were located in Ukraine, alick?
Maybe you’re missing the point, entirely?
@Nigel
‘ You just admitted you weren’t going to find or present any evidence.’
Nope, you’ve just shown you can’t understand what’s written in front of you. Crash, burn, crumble. All day.
‘impossible demands for the kind of evidence that only a select inner circle would have access to’
That means: no actual relevant evidence. And to think he called ME the Comment Police.
Showing you can’t understand the written word. There’s more to it than choosing a few words out of the long post to try discount the argument. If you read the post, you didn’t understand it. Choosing just a couple of words from a well researched post as some kind of back up argument just shows how thick you are unfortunately, and you’re prepared to stay here all day displaying that thickness.
Your whole purpose is to take a few words of mine and use them to try and catch me out or show me up, for reasons known only to yourself, in a way that has nothing to do with the subject under discussion, so you’re more of an ankle biter than the Comment Police, but you do try.
‘ Your whole purpose is to take a few words of mine and use them to try and catch me out or show me up’
Well, well, well. That’s rich coming from the guy whose main modus operandi is to constantly pick quotes out of posts with that sole intention. Have a look back through this comment section and learn about yourself. Not nice when you’re on the receiving end though is it?
I pick quotes to respond to them, and what they say, and I try to stick to the topic at hand. You invariably just try to catch people out and rather meaninglessly announce they’ve crashed and burned. This is just grinding personal resentment combined with hollow contrarianism. You hate me, but you don’t actually have anything to say. Nice mix.
What is Bacillus anthracis and why might anyone want to research it?
Can it be used for nefarious purposes?
If so, does that mean it should not be something that is ever used for research?
Is simple possession of Bacillus anthracis equivalent to ‘developing a bioweapon’?
Is possession of Bacillus anthracis for research purposes benign?
The conspiracy nuts are incapable of addressing the simplest of questions.
The friends of Vladimir Putin
Mass graves identified in Syria
Two mass graves have been located near Damascus, Syria. They are believed to hold thousands of bodies of Syrians killed in detention centers run by Bashar al-Assad’s government during the civil war.
“believed..”
lolololololols
never not spouting nonsense eh stepho..
Unending
So, you wanted ISIS or Jabhat Al Nusra to take Damascus, is it Stephen? Stephen loves the auld headchoppers so he does.
To save Damascus from ISIS they had to fill mass graves with tortured and murdered civilians.
So again, no evidence at all, whatsoever. “Believed to be” “Could contain powerful evidence” “The evidence of four men”. Come back when you have some evidence.
Impressive.
‘Yet you think some possible mass graves are a problem?’
My, you are selective, aren’t you?

This interview with Dr. Peter McCullough was banned from YouTube because some spotty intern “factchecker” obviously knows more. “If you want to know the truth, look at who is being silenced”- anon
Dr. Peter McCullough: You are more likely to be hospitalized after having jabs and boosters then catching Covid after.
https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1165809194157056
In summary- the CoVid-19 vaccines are doing the exact opposite of what they were claimed to do.
So to those of you on here who were championing this poison and especially those who felt they had a right to abuse and bully others- make no mistake- you were part of this criminality, you are not the good guys.
May your God forgive you because once the full truth of this damage is known, the rest of us will probably have a very hard time doing so.
Ah, let them get jab 4. It might be for the best. We’ve done all we can.
Lol
What else can you say?
go on Google Jordan Klepper, and and see what you goons are like. you can’t even see the irony of how stupid you and qanon gobsheen theories are. Please post a comment when you have viewed those videos. Go on grow a pair.
oh and Cavan, please try to get out tonight and meet real people. just don’t murder them
I am at the point of now departing from broadsheet.ie because these bots/ shills/ sociopaths- and the third is most likely.
People are now walking into Garda Síochána stations lodging vaccine injury criminal complaints. Luckily those can walk.
Enough.
Please don’t delay for a second

‘May your God forgive you because once the full truth of this damage is known, the rest of us will probably have a very hard time doing so.’
Covid deaths in the US approaching one million. GFY and the McCullough you rode in on.
You are a spoofing ignoramus, spreading conspiracy theories, propaganda & fake science.
You’re a disgrace.
Cavan get out of that box room. it’s our Republic of Ireland national holiday. I’d be out and not responding to the likes of you, except I have covid. I’m sick. I’m in bed. It does exist. I don’t want to infect anyone else, least of all my family. I’m not selfish and respect other people’s lives. bored out of my tree otherwise I would not be responding to you, but at least I have a life as opposed to posting constant bs on bs. how many websites do you post bs on?
‘You are a spoofing ignoramus, spreading conspiracy theories, propaganda & fake science.’
Took the words right out of my mouth.
:)
Thanks Janet
Any citation per chance?
I thought it would tickle you,
Yale is it ?
I didn’t write it obviously, it’s just a wee worm on a line and no sorry mad, citation, I can’t find the link.
Cavan, I find it interesting you were studying Christianity and interesting that you refer to booga booga in the other thread…I find it interesting that you conflate Irishness with Christianity when it’s such a thin and scratchy blanket.
I’m not a peasant but I don’t know about you, Janet.
hmmm not sure what I was expecting, a lot of assumptions there, I have a rational dislike of ALL religions to answer your question, as for the matter of my ” class ” my Mother always said it’s something you can’t buy ;)
Jesus, you’re some freak. Get a life.
tbh Cavan, your comments are always so agressive I usually skip em, but it was your booga booga comment that led me to the dislike of anything foreign or at least dismissal
Putin’s invasion has stalled on every front according to MOD analysis.
Russian forces have made minimal progress on land, sea or air in recent days and they continue to suffer heavy losses.
Most of Ukraine including all major cities remain in Ukraine hands as Biden promises billions of dollars worth of new weapons.
With the Russian economy in freefall and reduced to junk status.
As Putin faces military humiliation and rising anger at home this is the most dangerous time for Ukraine.

The stuff of nightmares, Terry, dream on.
Putin’s so chill about the invasion he’s ignoring it to focus on getting the ‘self purification’ of Russia going. Sounds completely benign!
Ukraine had 40k hardened troops holding Mariupol and it looks likely to fall before the weekend is out.
Russia makes slow progress street fighting to avoid civilian casualties, even with massive air superiority.
Lots of casualties on both sides, but momentum is with Russia, even if global public opinion is not.
MoD is a terrible source for information, unless it is western propaganda you are after.
Maybe the truth lays somewhere between the polar opposite propaganda outlets, judge for yourself Terry.

Lickspittle.
Mariupol is choc-a-bloc with Azovs & as I said before, likely to be the site of the most vicious fighting.
Gonna be a lot of dead civilians rebranded as Azovs by the time this is over.

If she was, Hughie, on a float featuring her, in the stocks singing a medley of her hit, I’d consider a trip in to throw rotten fruit at her, to add to the sense of drama.
I wonder what she’s going to do, now that her appeal has become so select? I suspect she’ll hang around, like a curry fart in a lift.

In other news, P&O fire 800 of its staff and are replacing them with ‘contract’ workers. P&O is owned by the aptly-named DP World (United Arab Emirates).
Not good for cars and trucks arriving at Dover today, and probably days/weeks to come.
Good job so many ferry operators saw the benefit in running direct services Ireland to Europe.

what about services to Ireland and Irish jobs?
?
100%
The Dublin Liverpool service was a great one for smaller freight operators though, and excellent value as well for the small business person as you could get a decent meal and a good nights kip on that service

US DoD funds the research in Ukraine.
It is the same gain of function research they were banned from carrying out in the US due to it’s high risk.

The Russians think they have proof enough to convene a UN special council meeting regarding the US labs in Ukraine, still likely not enough to convince Nigel……

Convening is not convincing.
I wonder if they’ll include screenshots from the Qanon account that started the whole thing?
Nigel, the west has set the bar really high with the burden of proof with Collin Powell and Iraq.
Iraq was smashed to pieces on the auspices of having some chemical weapons, that have never been found, without so much as a crocodile tear or an apology.
Sub titles are available and it worth a watch, even if you do not believe it, they do.

‘Nigel, the west has set the bar really high with the burden of proof with Collin Powell and Iraq.’
Well, quite. Beware of warmongers claiming WMDs.
Give over, Nigel, you’ve gone mad with your pathetic adoration of the biggest, most vicious & warlike empire in history.
It’s amazing that you can delude yourself that you’re anything other than a neo-con, an authoritarian & slightly to the right of Atilla The Hun.
God help you but you’re one demented bunny.
…sounds fair Nigel…
Indeed. The version of me you conjour in your screeds is quite demented and bunnyish, if unrelated to actual reality, but you’re consistent in that way, at least, in that very few of your screeds have much to do with reality.

China and Russia don’t care about ESA.

It seems that you haven’t really understood what this part of the material on your own link means:
Collaborative research becomes more difficult when the lad with the rockets decides not to share them with you, don’t you think?*
* Trick question – of course you don’t think
If you think the ESA is anywhere near China on space exploration and research you’re even more stupid than I had originally thought.
That’s not what the ESA statement is about but you’re so devoid of intelligence that you’ll probably never be able to work it out, you pathetic amadán.
You’ve never had an original thought in your life.
Tremendous Official and very undiplomatic Canuck fcuk you to Russia – someone had a full try of Ferrero Rocher before they dashed off this riposte to Russia’s pathetic bleating and whining

Six countries including UK and US accuse Russia of war crimes in Ukraine
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/mar/17/kyiv-ukraine-says-moscow-russia-must-accept-ceasefire-as-west-doubts-putin-sincerity
“Russia has been accused by the UK, the US, France, Albania, Ireland and Norway of war crimes in Ukraine, as Paris claimed Vladimir Putin was only pretending to be interested in negotiating a peace deal…”
“Top of the world, ma!”
Hark at Vladimir and his “send you to the gulag if you don’t think right” jive talk. Some bucko with his “natural and necessary self-purification” – we all know how that game is played.
“The Russian people will always be able to distinguish true patriots from scum and traitors and simply spit them out like a fly that accidentally flew into their mouth. I am convinced that such a natural and necessary self-purification of society will only strengthen our country, our solidarity, cohesion and readiness to respond to any challenges.” He added that certain Russians “cannot live without oysters and gender freedoms”.
