I don’t think we’ve ever seen such vile intolerance in a single human being who gains their employment by way of Democratic Elections

Looks like Zelenskyy has not only pee’d of Israel, but Germany now too.

Ukraine President Volodymyr Selenskyj (right) issues a ban on Ukraine by Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier

Steinmeier had wanted to travel to Kyiv “to send a strong signal of European solidarity with Ukraine,” as he said on Tuesday afternoon. “I was ready for it. But obviously, I have to admit, that was not wanted in Kyiv.”

    https://www.bild.de/politik/ausland/politik-ausland/mega-klatsche-fuer-unseren-bundespraesidenten-selenskyj-erteilt-steinmeier-ukrai-79753944.bild.html

It is quite a strange situation where world leaders are travelling back and forth to Kiev in what is supposed to be a war mind.

    1. Piotr

Good Reason Zelenskyy [NOT HIS ACTUAL NAME BTW] will not meet the German in Kiev is that HE IS NOT EVEN IN KIEV. I have explained this from DAY ONE. He is in the USA. California to be precise. I know this. FACT.

did you try the good brown handbag, the biscuit tin or under the loose bit of carpet on the landing ?

          2. Broadbag

Good ideas Janet, must check under the towels in the hot press as well, god knows what treasures I’ll find there!

    2. Dinkum

I reckon as soon as Putin has provided a buffer zone between ukraines kiev government and the self declared republics pro Russian he will withdraw
Maybe if NATO had been truthful and stated Ukraine will not be allowed to join NATO this war could of been avoided
Sadly for Putin the lead lined iron curtain is now fully shut and we could see WW3

He epitomizes and embodies everything that went wrong with Germany in the last 30 years – but his generation of appeasers and Merkel’s Mercantilist crew are getting called out now – it was a grand scam while it lasted

Russian artist faces jail over peace protest using supermarket price labels

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/apr/13/russian-artist-faces-jail-over-peace-protest-using-supermarket-price-labels

“A Russian court has ordered an artist to be held behind bars for allegedly replacing supermarket price labels with messages protesting against Moscow’s military campaign in Ukraine. Alexandra Skochilenko faces up to a decade in jail for her stealth protest, after she was charged under a new law banning “fake news” about Russia’s armed forces. Saint Petersburg’s Vasileostrovsky district court ruled that Skochilenko must remain in pre-trial detention in prison until 31 May, the court’s press service said on Telegram…”

    1. Dinkum

Maybe Tracy Eminem and her unmade bed was more of a crime against art
      God love the artist
Maybe the turner prize can be awarded to this artist

    1. Piotr

NOT TRUE. Please educate yourself on the workings of CRITICAL THINKING. Ask yourself: how couyld a military ship with WEAPONS on board and trained army be destroyed by a ragtag of NAZIs with Pea-shooters. COULD NOT HAPPEN, DID NOT HAPPEN, WILL NOT HAPPEN.

      1. stephen moran

And man never landed on the moon – even the Russian’s have admitted this – back to the your conspiracy theory cave – some mother do have ’em

        1. Cú Chulainn

What the Russians said was that the Americans might well have put a man on the moon, but they sure as hell didn’t get them back off. And is quite accurate. Look at the footage of the lunar lander taking off from the moon and ask yourself if you think that’s actually real..

The same Ukrainians who claimed the snake island heroes were all killed in action – later to resurface as captured and unharmed?

The jury is still out on this one

I really enjoy how you deliberately misspell words to try (poorly) to give the impression you are just a humble Russian citizen voicing your concern.

          LOL

It’s amazing how quickly this guy was caught
Compared to the girls attacked while jogging
Maybe Leo had a word with the gardai

      1. Broadbag

Not comparable at all – random attacks on women vs 2 beheadings at victim’s place of residence, in the same area, both with dating app/phone record info linking to 1 suspect, even the Gardai managed to figure that one out.

      2. Ian - oG

It’s amazing how you have access to the same information as the rest of us but choose to just shoot from the hip with a rather stupid take.

“…Palani, believed to be an Iranian Kurdish refugee who travelled to Ireland with his family at the age of six, was arrested on suspicion of murder in the early hours of Wednesday morning outside his home in a quiet cul-de-sac, south of Sligo town. A police source told MailOnline the murder suspect is an Iranian Kurdish refugee who arrived in Sligo in September 2006 when he was six-years-old with his mother, father and brother. The family are believed to be one of nine Iranian Kurdish families who moved to Ireland under a government scheme after living in refugee camps in Iran, Iraq and Jordan for 25 years…”

Queensland Health Minister Yvette D’Áth being interviewed on Australian TV: says she doesn’t think anyone can explain the 40% increase in heart attacks, chest pains and respiratory illness, but at the same time she’s sure it’s definitely can’t be the Covid shots because she knows ” vaccines actually help people stay out of hospital not put them in hospital”

Just like everywhere else they will deny any connection until the stats are so high that they are forced to investigate.

They are responsible, they have blood on their hands- but once there is a move to prosecute Pfizer, that is when the house of cards will fall.

You know what HAS been putting people in hispital lately? A highly contagious respiratory disease!

  5. Clampers Outside

Yes, Depp probably said that. And I probably said worse of my abuser, as do most abused wish the worst of those who abuse them.
Makes a good headline though, doesn’t it.

More on the classy funeral of small-time hoodlum James Whelan.
According to the IT ‘ Dozens of bikers staged a show of strength at the funeral of 29-year-old James Whelan (aka Whela) who was shot dead in a suspected gangland feud in Finglas, north Dublin.

The bikers did doughnuts, wheelies and revved before, during and after Mr Whelan’s funeral at River Mount Parish church in Finglas. ‘

But here’s my favourite detail of all.

‘ The chief mourners were Mr Whelan’s partner Jean and son King Parker The Boss ‘

…Holy Thursday…are you serious Bodger…I thought this was a secular site…is nothing sacred?

    1. bisted

…the only good thing I found about ‘good friday’ was that you could give offence to more religions than normal simply by having a bacon sandwich…nomnom…

        1. bisted

…haha…forgot…add fundamentalist vegans…what catholics might call collation damage…

          1. Janet, dreams of an alternate universe

I did vegan for a week, there is not a more miserable existence, they are the new Calvinists

      1. Ian - oG

How would you upset them? Would you actively display the contents of your sandwich to Jews and Muslims?

        :|

Irrespective of what someone is eating, going up to someone and showing them what’s in your sandwich is more likely to disturb than offend…..

  8. TenPin Terry

Interestingly, while there is no mention of the fact in any Irish coverage of the case the Daily Mail reports that the 22-year-old man arrested in Sligo over the deaths of the two men is of Middle East origin.
Given that Gardai are keen to trace any contacts the suspect might have had locally or on online dating sites one would have thought this to be quite a relevant detail.
And presumably known to the Irish media which chose to omit it.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10716189/Irish-police-probe-hate-related-motive-arresting-man-20s-violent-deaths-two-men.html

    1. SOQ

That would make sense, some of the Muslim gays have serious baggage- it is a very homophobic culture a lot of them come from.

      1. TenPin Terry

Aye – which is why Israel is pretty much the only safe place in the Middle East to come out as gay.

          1. TenPin Terry

Israel is one of the few countries in the Middle East where homosexuality isn’t against the law.
You wouldn’t want to be strolling down Palestine High Street looking for a rent boy…

          2. SOQ

So explain why Gay rights are non existent in most Muslim countries? When was the last time you heard of a Pride parade in such?

          3. Piotr

Even HETROS are not permitted to even HOLD HANDS or KISS IN PUBLIC in muslim societies/ So what is your point? DO YOU EVEN HAVE ONE?

            GET HELP

          4. SOQ

They tie straight people up and throw them off tall buildings for their sexuality too? Hang them from cranes maybe?

            Didn’t think so.

          5. Nigel

I think it’s because during the Cold War more liberal and tolerant Muslim regimes were undermined and overthrown by tiny minorities of radical extremists funded and armed externally, often by the US, for various devious reasons to do with geopolitics and oil that eventually completely blew up in their faces and left the Middle East in thrall to religious extremists. If you go back earlier, Britain laid the groundwork by pretty much destroying any secular and/or tolerant Middle East societies they got their hands on, because that supposedly made them easier to control. Imperialism and oil – we’re still paying for both, but not as much as the people in the Middle East are.

          6. scottser

for all your spittle-flecked outrage three-tit, suqer and pedro, you just can’t seem to accept that reports of homophobic attacks and abuse are on the increase in places like israel and other ‘liberal’ societies despite the reported evidence?
also, in muslim societies where you have have to be married to have sex, how do you think lads get laid? you either use prostitutes or engage in casual homosexuality. it’s widespread but not visible – i thought this was common knowledge?

          7. SOQ

            @ scottser-

Look at the advances gay rights have made all over the world. And I don’t mean just same sex marriage, I mean basic human rights. The countries who have resisted most are nearly all Muslim- this is fact.

But, just like back in the day in Ireland, it is accommodated as long as it is on the QT. It is just thirty years ago since Dublin had only two small gay bars and five gay saunas- FIVE.

People only started to question when a priest died in one and there were two others present to give the last rights.

A policy of containment is not equality- it never was.

          8. Tom J

Gay people and straight people sometimes attend the same bars and saunas. There aren’t any signs saying gays only or straights only.

          9. scottser

i never once suggested that gay people enjoyed equality. in fact i’ve demonstrated the opposite, even in societies where homosexuality is legalised.

    2. Micko

Why omit it? Well, IF I was a cynical man, I could say that the Irish media want the hysteria circus around the sad killing of two men to continue for as long as possible and not have that circus stop dead as soon as people find out that the suspected murderer is a foreign national, for fear of being called racist.

Which is exactly what happened in the Aisling Murphy story.

Good thing I’m not a cynical man though…

      1. SOQ

It is the stark contradiction over Islam that the ‘woke’ Left find themselves in. It is all inclusion and minority statuses while deliberately ignoring all the extreme right wing prejudices that come from such.

Andrew Moore’s Titania McGrath Twitter character regularly nails all that nonsense.

        https://twitter.com/TitaniaMcGrath

          1. Piotr

            WRONG
Homophobia is a misnomer but let us ignore than momentary and focus instead on the origins in BIBLICAL TEACHINGS OF MORALITY AND GOD ABIDING FOLK

          2. Ian - oG

@SOQ so why do ‘woke’ people upset you so much?

@PIOTR – is that what Patriarch Kirill whispered in your ear behind the sacristy?

          3. SOQ

@ Ian – oG because they have hijacked what was a civil rights movement and turned into the complete opposite.

          4. Ian - oG

            Who has?

A few people taking extreme positions on twitter? As demonstrated by This fake account clearly setup by someone who is quite the snowflake?

I could find very poor examples of literally any movement, cause, religion etc. and create a panic about it.

    3. Mick

The dogs on the street in Sligo know who was arrested, it’s an open secret. I’ve had the person’s photo and name sent to me in a WhatsApp group more than once.
      I deleted it, because I don’t think it’s helpful.

  9. Dinkum

Out of all cultures Muslims and Jews have the worst when they realise they are gay
My brother came out at 50 and waited until both parents were dead to do so
    A whole life in hiding
I suspected he was gay in his twenties and we never talked and he could not trust his own brother with his secret

    1. paul

I wouldn’t be leaving Christians off the hook there. More-or-less all organised religions have a crappy past (and present) when it comes to things outside of what they perceive as ‘normal’. A few mistranslated or misinterpreted (on purpose? Who knows) lines in a holy book and the pitchforks come out.

Get enough people together and both scum and cream rise to the top regardless.

    2. anti bot

Maybe your brother could not come out to you because he knew you were a total willy. if I had a brother who was gay, I know he’d happily tell me so.

  10. Ian - oG

Like capitalism, religion (any) needs constant, exponential growth.

Two men being gay are two men not producing more economic units, whether its gold, fiat or faith backed currency in use.
