Broadsheet loves the Squee. It’s the yin to our yang. It’s the syrup on our deep-fried chicken and waffle sandwich.
It’s pictures of cute animals, essentially. But not just any old marmosets, badgers and tube-nosed fruit bats. Oh no. This is weapons-grade, brain-emulsifying, type-2-diabetes-inducing cuteness right here.
For your delectation, we present 45 Moments of Squee from the last 11 weeks.
You’re most welcome.
Fennec Foxes at Everland Zoo. The first two pics were taken three days ago. The bottom three are different kit (or cubs) photographed in September.
In the wild, the Fennec is a nocturnal desert-dweller, not to be confused with the similarly-eared Sand Kitteh.
All pics by In Cherl Kim.
Native to South and Central America, frequently poached for the illegal pet trade, many marmoset species are now endangered. This juvenile at Everland Zoo was snapped during a recent checkup.
His cuteness was judged to be fully functioning.
Ruth – a baby Hoffman’s Two-Toed Sloth born six weeks ago at Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse, NY. Nursed back to health after being born underweight, she’s now reportedly ‘as active as a Two-Toed Sloth ought to be’.
Which is to say, fairly chilled out.
