The Disclosures Tribunal has been hearing evidence from Alison O’Reilly, of the Irish Mail on Sunday, Justine McCarthy, of the Sunday Times, and journalism professor Colum Kenny into their knowledge of the alleged smearing of Garda whistleblower Sgt. Maurice McCabe.

Philip Boucher Hayes, of RTÉ, is scheduled to give evidence this afternoon about contacts with former Garda Commissioner Martin Callinan in December 2013 in preparation of a Crimecall broadcast on RTÉ.

To clarify, Sgt McCabe sent a legal letter to RTE over the reports.
