The pollsters seem to have been rather inaccurate (in terms of the “No” win). Does anyone know what that’s about?

Why is the end of Salmond a good thing? Is this just predictable old politician bashing? Or are you asserting this with some substance and conviction?

        ‘Fraid it is old cock.

Unlike the Lisbon Treaty where Ireland voted NO then quickly changed their mind to YES after being threatened by a French midget there’s not going to be another referendum for a very long time.

Now comes the rightful backlash from the English, who make up 86% of the population of the UK, who are fed up with the ungrateful Jocks.

The next nine months until the election will be Box Office.

Are you implying that after cajoling and bribing with the promise of further devolved powers, etc, Westminster should now vigorously punish Scotland instead?

          What rightful backlash?
The 3 English leaders promised lots a few days ago, as part of their panic.
This was about Scotland, not about England. Maybe, the English should have an independence vote, leaving the other three in the UK.

Ungrateful Jocks? Who is providing the oil?

The UK is supposed to be made up of equals, but we know that ain’t true. If NI decided to have a referendum, there would be no Better Together, it would be a ‘can you be gone by the weekend’ situation.

            Rubbish.
Any Catholic with a grain of commonsense would prefer to stay in the North where they’re much better off and don’t have political leaders who bankrupt the country every generation.
Besides, most of my Irish chums would prefer NI to stay in NI thanks very much.

      “Fear won”

Rough translation: I don’t approve of the result so i will denigrate the will of the majority of a country.
