These ceremonies always bring a smile to my face. Welcome all!
Happy occasion. Congratulations! Now I must learn more than the first line of the National Anthem :)

Welcome one and all.

‘People of Faith’ should not be given citizenship .
Gerroudavit yeh GRINCH.
Lovely photos. Fáilte libh!
These were a fantastic idea, well done Shatter.
If he wasn’t an intolerable w***er, he could have been our greatest justice minister.
+1
And thanks to BS for always posting these too :)
Happy days
Rare good news. Welcome.
FYI It’s Megan Burgdorf not Burgorf.
A joke. We give out citizenships for nothing. Where I am I can never become a citizen unless I marry a native.
Are you being held there against your will? If you don’t like it, move. In the meantime STFuppU, you miserable fupp!
STFuppU, lol! Thanks BS, I like it…
We don’t give out “citizenships for nothing”: you have to pay a hefty fee. It was €650 or so when I was naturalised over a decade ago. It’s now €950.
I got my citizenship by sending off the tokens from the back of a cornflakes box.
Fair play, in fairness.
IRELAND HAS THE SOFTEST NATURALIZATION REQUIREMENTS IN EUROPE. IN A COUPLE OF DECADES IRISH PEOPLE WILL BE IN A MINORITY IN IRELAND. THAT’S CALLED ETHNIC CLEANSING. IT DOESN’T SUIT IRISH WORKERS, IT SUITS THE BOSSES AND THE GLOBALIZERS.
You tell ’em champ!
“IT SUITS THE BOSSES AND THE GLOBALIZERS.”
Not to mention the soccer managers. Fingers crossed, we make the 2022 World Cup, and if the experience of practically every other European country is to go by, we’ll be depending on these “softly naturalised” folks who are “ethnically cleansing” us, to get us there.
What a beautiful, happy bunch of people there at the convention centre today. Welcome one and all!
Since we’re redefining the meaning of ethnic cleansing now, I’ve decided that it will also apply to people who post comments in all caps*
*doing an ironic shouty thing excluded ‘cos I feel like it
WHO GIVES A FUPP?
Betcha our newly made citizens know where the Caps Lock button is.
Irish Citizenship should only be given to those whose either parents
or grandparents were born in Ireland….there needs to be a provision
introduced into the Constitution to tighten this up, how nice of Mr Shatter
what about the treatment of the people of Palestine by Israel.
The Irish Naturalisation Legislation should be repealed….indeed it
may be unconstitutional and needs to be tested…take a look at who have
been given Citizenship over the years and the scandals that arose
in some exmples.
The Citizenship issue needs a full national debate.
Yawn.
Beautiful.
“Fresh defiance” of what?
Fresh Defiance? Someone please help me here.
Flying the Irish flag, or displaying the colours of the Irish flag, is a long running theme on BS. It usually involves some unexpected location/situation.
