As a youth I used to weep in butchers shops!
Worse than ISIS?
I like having a winter coat on my legs during our 8 month cold season.
Please Meadowlark, do not let any more sunlight in on your magic.
That was brilliant
You get awful itch when wearing tights though. And the hairs pop through
“These things? No, they aren’t wooly tights, these are au natural!
Yak-hair tights, they are.
Ah hair, leaveirout…
Hmm. I’m sure this image isn’t at all what it first seems, but…a significant % of the female population’s legs would be that hairy if they didn’t remove it. I often think that most of the so-called ‘natural’ differences between men and women are largely a matter of grooming. If women didn’t wear make-up, wore their hair short and (above all else) didn’t remove their body-hair, the two sexes would look much, much more similar than they currently do.
Men and women would still look vastly different grooming or no……….You need to see the world as it is rather then how you want it to be…..
Yeah but…. Sandi Toksvig.
If you insult Sandi, I will cut you
Oooh, it’s gone all Hutch / Kinahan in here all of a sudden.
Those little boys have nothing on an upset Sandi fan
Put down the remote and step away from the BBC
@BB Butch/Kinahan, surely? I still think Sandi Toksvig was the dude inside R2D2.
R2D2!!!
Classic!
Obviously they would have some rather crucial physical differences in terms of breasts and genitalia (although again, a lot of women’s breasts are naturally very small, and a lot of men over a certain weight/age have visible breasts, so….), but in other ways, the similarities are much much greater than the differences. Most aspects of female grooming practice are designed specifically to obscure this fact, and are so nearly-universally observed that most men have quite literally never seen a genuinely natural adult female body…and for that matter, neither have most women. Most women begin daily hair-removal in their early-to-mid-teens, and never take a break from it at any point. I don’t think this is the worst thing women experience in our society, but it is a very very significant part of their lives and tells us something (many things?) about how female attractiveness is a constructed concept.
The real question is why DON’T men shave their legs?
So smooooth…
I would say almost all styling (for men and women) is organised around the idea of exaggerating (and directly or indirectly sexualising) every little physical difference there is between men and women.
Women, currently, are encouraged to wear high-waisted jeans to accentuate the smaller upper body and trace the curve of the hip.
Women tend to have a less body hair then men but aesthetically better quality head hair, so lets remove ALL the body hair, and encourage girls to have long head hair. In counterpoint, men generally have shorter hair, our hair tends not to look so good in length, and it shows how we are opposite to women.
Men for example get padded-shouldered suits, the jacket cut with lines to accentuate the male form of the torso. Short, boxy jackets (bombers, harringtons etc.) do a similar job for the male torso.
Men, currently at least, are encouraged to grow beards, it accentuates our hirsute domain, shows testosterone and a certain maturity, and accentuates the jawline (or creates one!).
And so on and so on….
I understand the mechanics of all the fashion choices that have evolved to where we are now, but I still get aroused when I see a smooth skinned woman with long hair in well-fitting high-waited jeans.
At least this campaign has legs.
THE RAPIE CLINIC.
See what I did there?
Her mother has form:

It doesn’t say how many people were questioned for this survey. Either way its a load of tripe.
I suspect there are more than a few fellow hair-lovers like myself lurking here.
Out yourselves. Now.
Stop beating about the bush.
Bring back the 70s!
Born to be wild nah nah nah
Free breakfast.
(sorry)
An aversion to bodily hair is just a learned response; something society has taught us to see as unattractive. Personally, I don’t mind a bit of bodily hair on a woman at all…except for on the legs – I can’t help associating dark hairs on a woman’s legs with very masculine legs…maybe in time I can unlearn that hang up! Or maybe it’s too late..
how are you with hair around the nips?
I don’t have a problem with hairy legs on either gender but I think this has been Photo-shopped and that does bother me for some reason…
Red is not that chaps colour…
