“But by what authority does the Professor call himself Professor? Dr Byrne was once appointed to the position of Associate Professor by University of Limerick. This position is know as a half-chair. However, he was never appointed a full professor (a full chair). Institutes of Technology do not have professors. Thus, it would seem as if he carried his title from UL to WIT. If this is so, however, he should be known by the lesser title of Associate Professor.”
Half chair or full chair you just know it would be antique Regency.
