Planning permission has already been secured for the 12 acre site and the construction phase of the plaza is expected to create 70-80 jobs, with a further 50 fulltime and 20 part-time jobs up for grabs when the plaza opens in early 2012. The plaza will be a multi-purpose motorway services facility catering for commuters on the busy M7 route between Dublin and Limerick and will include a large Supermac’s outlet, a Papa John’s Pizza restaurant and other food outlets in a food court, as well as a convenience shop, fuel pumps and other facilities. There have also been suggestions that a hotel may be built adjacent to the site in the future.
A 12-acre site in the middle of nowhere with a Supermac’s, a Papa John’s and a hotel, you say? What could possibly go wrong?
