Enda Kenny’s Introduction To President Obama at College Green
“Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.
You ask, what is our policy? I can say: It is to wage war, by sea, land and air, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us; to wage war against a monstrous tyranny, never surpassed in the dark, lamentable catalogue of human crime. Why? Because the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
For I’ve seen the Promised Land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the promised land. You see, some look at things that are, and ask why. I dream of things that never were and ask why not?Furthermore, I had a dream.
Ladies and gentlemen, will you please be upstanding for our great friend, President Barack Obama.”
