It’s Brian!

Kidding. It’s Kituba, the public’s vote in the name-the-new-gorilla-at-Dublin-Zoo challenge.

Kituba is a language used in Central Africa where the West Lowland gorilla faces extinction mainly through commercial hunting and the Ebola virus.

Brian Kituba joins the rest of his family: mum Lena, dad Harry, brothers Alfie and Evindi and sister Mayani, in the gorilla enclosure. He’s also down for a place at Clongowes.

The severed head (apparently) of St Vitalis of Assisi, the patron saint of genital diseases.

Up for auction on Sunday at Annesbrook House in Duleek, Co Meath.

St Vitalis was an Umbrian wild boy-turned benedictine hermit monk.

He was last seen leaving Coppers on the night he lost his head.
