There are at least 111 active credit accounts for sitting TDs and senators with the average catering debt standing €473. But the range of bills stretches from the lowest of just €3.70 to an astonishing €3,716.
“Dail deputies who took offfice earlier this year have already stacked up drinks and food credit of €60,000.
“Despite receiving massive pay offs and pensions, 31 ex-TDs and senators failed to settle their tabs before exiting Leinster House [after the general Election].”
