Discovered in a container that arrived from Spain. Revenue Commissioners claim the cigarettes have a retail value of €3.1 million and “would have been a €2.5 million loss for the Exchequer”. Which may explain why they don’t really want you to quit the gaspers.

“It is among an estimated 87 million cigarettes seized by custom officials this year,” said a spokesperson, croakily.
