Trinity College Dublin alum Dominic West – Detective James ‘Jimmy’ McNulty off The Wire –  returned to his alma mater last night (with wife Catherine Fitzgerald) to give a speech to the college’s Philisophical Society and pick up a gold medal of ‘Honorary Patronage’ from the society.

As one  ‘Phil’ member put it:

“Nobody heard a word he said owing to his awesome hotness.”
