Kevin Cardiff And The US Cables

at

The cables from US diplomatic missions around the world – dumped in their thousands by Wikileaks  – included a number from the Irish Embassy in Ballsbridge.

The cables contained records of meetings with diplomats, politicians and civil servants in an effort by the US to discover what was really happening in Ireland during the unfolding economic crisis of 2008/2009.

One regular visitor to Dublin 4 was Kevin Cardiff. The cables that feature Mr Cardiff show that not only was he often very wrong about virtually everything but that he was willing to go along with efforts to mislead the EU and Irish voters to push through government policy.
