Shay Healy with a Fender stratocaster Squier guitar signed by members of the Rolling Stones at the launch of the first auction of rock memorobilia by Whyte’s auctioneers in Dublin (to be held this Sunday).
The auction, in aid of Irish Parkinson’s Research, includes these sparse Simple Minds and U2 ‘Irish tour’ posters.
A proposed ‘Mulletstock’ ‘Minds/U2 double header at Slane had been cancelled.
Forcing promoters to rush out these lamentable efforts for separate concerts at Croke park in 1984. Apologies. This was incorrect. Please see comments.
