Tony Grimes, formerly number two at The Central Bank and a key player in the events that led to the banking crisis.
Tony, who retired in 2010 ahead of the Nyberg report, which was critical of the Central Bank’s weak response to the crisis, has been re-hired by the Central Bank to chair the National Payments Plan Steering Committee.
In an ideal world he would be in front of an inquiry.
But this is not an ideal world.
And if you don’t like it you can always leave.
