What Bank of ireland neglect to mention is this – a flat fee customer was paying €11.40 per quarter for 90 transactions. The same 90 transactions will now cost me €23 as the new structure is 20c per transaction plus a €5 ‘maintenance fee.’ Now I am lucky enough that I can afford this, but with things the way they are I think a 102% increase in price is a disgraceful way to treat consumers, many of whom are being hit by mortgage increases as well.
