You may recall how Banksy set up a stall in Central Park on October 13 in which an elderly man sold apparently selling $60 Banksy knockoffs that were actually real and worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. In seven hours, just three people bought seven canvasses
A week later, a different group of artists — Dave Cicirelli, Lance Pilgrim and Michael Pilgrim — set up a table at the same spot in Central Park but sold fake $60 Banksy paintings.
They sold all 40 paintings – and even the price sign – in an hour.
