Excellent. They did this in Bristol earlier in the summer: http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/video/2014/may/05/bristol-street-converted-giant-water-slide-video – was a very much on the slow side though. No Rainbow Rapids, that’s for sure. Hopefully, the Bray one isn’t as over-the-top on H&S.
Why aren’t they layering the upper boards on top of the lower ones, for maximum speed AND so you don’t slice off a piece of leg skin as you whizz down? Low IQ? Reminds me of the Rainbow Rapids in Dun Laoghaire – we always got scabby hip bones after a few runs down.
That said, I really want to have a go on this!
