They put him back in there when they found out he was an asylum seeker.

And they all came back to push from the other side. Great community spirit.

Fair play.
That is the most exciting thing to happen in Perth, this year.
Stapler
Nice of the guy to watch him slip down.
the good helen
he barely noticed himself, hardly likely anyone else watching is going to be able to do anything.

People have a surprisingly long reaction time to unfamiliar situations, particularly on the morning commute.
If you watch, it takes between one and two seconds for his brain to go from “What are you doing?” to “Something bad has happened.”
For reference, driving at motorway speeds, it works out about the length of a soccer pitch before you start moving your foot to the brake.
Spaghetti Hoop
Now make a movie.
Downtowntrain
Hah!
Skerries
so I bet you were all tensing up like you were pushing it as well watching that?

If that was the luas there would be delays for weeks as the cranes would have to be brought in, traffic rediverted around cranes, the area cordoned off for Health & Safety…Firebrigage…abulances…Gardai…Civil Defense…the lot would get at least two day out of it.
jeremy kyle
And his hat robbed.
rmc
Nonsense

If that happened at Connolly station you’d be gone under the train. An obese guy could fit between the train and platform in the right spot.
Why not use a car jack though? instead of employing the North Korea method of doing something.

If only you’d been there to advise them.

I hate to be a Grinch here, but some headline I saw of this elsewhere was really alarming. It said that the crowd had rocked it back and forth to free him. Upon viewing the video, you can see they didn’t, but what they did was actually kind-of dodgy.
If having pushed it to the side, for some reason they let it back down again suddenly (the crowd got tired, or were told to stop pushing) then they could have snapped his bloody leg off…
Tom Stewart
Ah no. I love being a Grinch really.

Good point. However, you have to weigh up the blokes health, versus the need for all those commuters to get to work.
Tom Stewart
Wow, harsh!
Train services are interrupted all the time. People find another way to get where they’re going.
….mind the gap
…aka…I told you so
That was nice :)

He’s not going to find another leg anywhere…
