According to Re/Code, Apple will reveal the new iPhone 6 (with A8 processors, an upgraded OIS camera and a choice of 12cm [4.7in] or 14cm [5.5in] displays, as mocked up alongside the smaller 1Phone5 above) at a special event on the 9th of September. The new generation phones will probably be available 10 days later.

Not at all. I use a bog standard non touchscreen phone. I’d rather spend money in upgrades for my PC instead of wasting it on a phone. Woo Hoo :)

Ah, they serve a different market. I always suggest to people in the market for a smarthphone to get an iPhone if you don’t really understand technology, go with the iPhone. It’s a closed system which unfortunately ties you in with the awful awful awful iTunes muck software, and you’re tied into an apple lifestyle but it’s pretty much idiot proof. After that though, there’s no where really for the device to go. It’s really not allowed to explore it’s true potential due to Apples paranoid obsession with it’s software, and if you do want to Jailbreak your own phone, you’re breaking the law (insane).

If you’re tech-savy go with the Android. Not only is the technology typically a cut above what Apple produces and sells at an over inflated price, but there is simply more you can do with the phone that the less restrictive OS and app market allows.

It is very strange though the brand obsession people have now with Android Vs iOS. It’s like blur V Oasis, a totally pointless feud where both tech giants are looking down at us chucking a bemused little laugh together as truck loads of cash just roll on in.

I’ve been using the iPhone since it first came out, upgrading all the way through to the 5S. My contract ends next year, probably along with my use of an iPhone. I’m sick of the battery issue, not to mention the ongoing software upgrades which render my apple devices (iPad, MacPro, iMac) useless over time, just to make us upgrade them too. Bahhhhhh
