An architectural installation being built in Collins Barracks this afternoon
Beyond Pebbledash in Clarke Square [Collins Barracks] is an architectural installation aiming to engage, challenge, provoke and inspire new ways of thinking about our city and urban architecture. The exhibition is on display from 27th August until 30th November 2014 at the National Museum of Ireland.
The project involves the erection of a ‘typical’ Dublin pebbledash house, at a scale of 1:1. It is composed of a reconstructed pebbledash facade on a steel skeletal frame detailing its walls, stairs, doors, rear fenestration, ceilings and roof.

Construction industry clearly back on its feet.
Clearly
When will Sherry Fitzgerald be proud to bring this distinctive, uniquely positioned and deceptively spacious sought-after property to the market for €600,000?
I bid €610,000!

would be nice to get a bill of materials and labour when done.
some people seem to think it costs 250k to build a house.
Does anyone visit Irish museums ( a second time) ? they never seem to get any decent shows from overseas or anything. Stagnant dead places it seems to me. Arts money just being used to keep old buildings ticking over with repairs and maintenance.
Maybe you should go and have a look again.
Off the top of my head, IMMA and RHA always have stuff on.
I remember a time when I was well Beyond Pebbledash…… damn near cracked the bowl altogether !
Snort!
