Fitzwilliam Square Park
… who lost his wallet?

Found a wallet today in Fitzwilliam Square park, Dublin 2. There was a hipster ‘Happenings’ gig in the square last week so maybe someone lost it then. Anyways, the wallet has two cards, twenty yo yo and a crocodile leather card wallet thingy. The lad’s name is Ian Fitzgerald.
Anyone?

There should be a small ‘H’ on the inside fold of the wallet if he’s really a hipster. Sometimes can be an upside down H if we’re talking about an advanced member of the community.
well thats a no brainer
I’m Brian!!… I mean, I’m Ian!!
Any AIB should be able to contact him
Yeah but that wouldn’t be any fun now would it? Imagine the story in the brasserie after ” Like oi gosh moi billfold returned by the world widge web loike”!!
In the UK the police sometimes leave items like this in parks to trap opportunist thieves, as there is an offence of theft by finding, the finder has two days to hand the item in before they are arrested, just saying…
The Theft of finding?
So the police set up a sting, then tail the would be thieves for 2 days waiting for them to not hand in the wallet and commit the offence.
You got up a 7 in the morning to tell me that.
…em, you got up and read it in fairness.
That’s a very silly idea.
Bodger, I am the lad Ian Fitzgerald. Very good of you to put in such a valiant effort in reuniting me with my beloved plastic. Where do we go from here, I’ve never done anything like this before? Cheers
Ian, we’ve just emailed you there.
All’s well that (nearly) ends well. Hopefully a reunited ceremony tomorrow. Well done broadsheet.
