Doesn’t Fall Far From The Tree

A portion of an Irish Times Apple infographic.

Paul writes:

“The machine at the bottom looks like like an Apple II and the one above that seems to be the Original Mac. A geek fight is there for the taking. I’m not a geek. I’ve just been using the bastard computers since ’88. No plans on getting an iPhone though…”

The info graphic is correct. The iMac was introduced in 1998. I can still remember looking at them with envy in PC World as a teenager.

Irish times nearly right – the bottom machine is an Apple IIc – not a Macintosh. The timeline otherwise is for Apple products (not just Macs) and is ok.

That’s a IIc.The Apple ][ was much bigger than that. The ][e came later and was slightly smaller/slimmer.

use a fast pc for graphics, don’t mind all those hipster ‘creatives’ you see on the
telly with their oul powerbuks….never bothered with the iphone either.

Is that one of the most misleading headlines ever?
“U2 to appear in California for the launch of Apple’s new iPhone 6
Band’s new album expected to be streamed exclusively on phone”
    Go below in the article,
” band’s official spokeswoman saying yesterday: “They are not releasing their album on the iPhone and they are not performing at the iPhone launch.””
