The sports pages of Journal.ie are changing.

They need a more internationally distinctive dynamic.

Tell us about it.

Look at them there, with their desks/central heating/kettle, etc., but are they happy? What are we doing wrong? Mumble mumble Doritos

Always ironic how the comments there get such a lot of stick from here.

Interesting that their comments section allows for non-anyonymous posting and a far superior comments tech, and THEY’RE the peasants.

The Ebola endemic will have spread from the Mater and ravaged the country before anyone gets a job…

    Strange rebranding.

Whatever about the quality of the Journal, some of the tactical dissertations on rugby / football on TheScore are as indepth and knowledgeable as anything you’ll find in any publication.

yeah some the rugby coverage/ analysis is superb.
the use of video/ images with text to explain the subtleties of the game puts the mainstream analysts to shame.
that said the quality of “analyst” in certain papers (Thornley/ Francis etc) is piss poor.

That makes sense. The choice of new name however…

Even GAA fans will identify very little with that name. An old GAA rule from the past, however then-significant, surely has little relevance to a modern multi-sport website?

I know, rule 42 just brings up negative connotations and harks back to sectarianism. It’s either an early April fool’s joke, or whomever is responsible needs a lie down, before reconsidering this, with a clear head.
