An inspiration :)
Not a boxing fan but a fantastic win for her and Ireland. She’s top of her game.
So which was it God or Lucozade?
Katie consistently gives all thanks and praise to the former and fair play to her for expressing it openly.

God created Lucozade you dummy.
Nice ad, good to see her getting a few bob from sponsors.
And fair play to her again !
How does she do it? The European, World and Olympic Champion – from her website:

‘Christian faith plays a central role in every aspect of her life including her boxing. Before entering the ring Katie always takes inspiration by reading a number of Psalms that she finds are particularly relevant to her sport and her life.
After her bouts Katie gives thanks to God for the talent she has been given and for looking over both her and her opponent.’
One of her favourites:
It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.
He makes my feet like the feet of a deer.
He trains my hands for battle so my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
You give me your shield of victory and you stoop down to make me great.
– Psalm 18
Does god hate her opponents?
The fist of God compels her.
We often hear people wonder why bad things happen to good people. The answer is simple. God’s too busy helping athletes win things to redirect cancers and car crashes the way of the more deserving.
Katie wins because she trains hard, prepares well and has an excellent corner. If she wants to put the victory down to her beliefs then that’s her business. It doesn’t make the winning any easier for her beyond maybe giving her more confidence when she steps between the ropes.
…that last bit… may sound trivial to the non-believer but to someone with faith it can give them a hell of a lot more than say any Lucozade nonsense.
I myself think it’s the power of the belief the individual holds, not the thing being believed in, no matter how mad non-believers think it to be. It’s that simple :)
Was there a point to that…? She has faith in her god, so what.
It’s fairly simple Clampers but I’ll spell it out for you if you like. Clearly “RidersOnThe Storm” was attributing her victories to her belief in god, to follow that thought to it’s logical conclusion then god must have given the defeats to her opponents. Get it?
money would have been better spent on some elocution classes innit.
Jesus, she is fit. Look at those guns!
