Beautiful work
I had no idea who this man was, and yet he’s central to my childhood and that of many others. Among his many works, he illustrated the jackets of Richard Bach’s books. I still have copies of some of those looking down at me from my bookshelves.
Same for me! Many of those covers inspired me greatly, and still do to this day.
Awesomeness, if i’m not mistaken he (or a contporary) did a few asimov covers as well.
Yeah, Pretty sure he did the cover of a print run of the Foundation series.

Not only did he draw half the covers on the books on your shelves, he also worked on the Dune film, not the David Lynch one that had Sting parading about in his underwear, but the Jodorowsky one that ultimately never got made, but whose artwork and designs went on to inspire – and just plain get stolen for – films like Alien, Star Wars, Blade Runner and a few dozen others. So even if you never knew the guy, you know his work.
