What you may need to know:
1. Claire (Jennifer Aniston) becomes obsessed with a woman in her support group (Anna Kendrick) who committed suicide, and initiates a dubious relationship with her widower (Sam Worthington).
2. And yes… there is cake.
3. I guess that no one told Aniston that life was gonna be this way.
4. The studio is really hoping for an Oscar nod for Aniston. This isn’t out until January but is getting a limited December release to be in contention.
5. Relax… the Star Wars trailer is coming.
6. Broadsheet Prognosis: Soggy bottomed.
Release Date: January 2015.
(DelBoy is catching up on Peaky Blinders. Mark blogs about film, TV and other stuff at WhyBother.ie)
Can’t wait to see this. Aniston is already being tipped for the best actress oscar for it.
Ditto.
I think she’s very underrated.
She was brilliant in The Good Girl and Office Space I thought, shame she makes so many clunkers.
Agreed. A potentially great actress wasted on some awful twaddle.
Does that come down to a terrible agent…or just poor judgement of her own?
Not sure. I’ll text her and get back to you.
You have her number?
Name your price!
*whacks Bertie over the head*
Yes, where’s that number…..?
You have to do the awful stuff to make the money and then you branch out and do what you want I.e. Mathew McConaughey.
No. Not true.
Maybe some people just like making shitty movies i know i never miss seeing a McConaughey RomCom or a Michael Bay explosion lens flare fest.
I’ve read reviews from the various film festivals on this and ….. advance word isn’t all that good. If anyone’s tipping her for an Oscar it’d be the likes of EW and People magazine who think that she deserves it for appearing in a movie without wearing make up. She’s an average actress who is the same in everything she’s in (In the Good Girl she basically mopes around the place for gods sake, and that is a particularly average indie film as well). She doesn’t quite have that movie star quality either which means she can’t really hide behind that.
Wow. A contribution from Mani that didn’t involve someones Ma.
I agree BTW.
I’d have given her one for Horrible Bosses in fairness… no, not that, an Oscar you perv!
Horrible Bosses was terrible but the only redeeming quality in it was her. I also thought she was very good in derailed.
Jesus. Derrailed. Such a dreadful film.
Derailed was terrible but she was still very good in it.
:0)
Who plays Shane Curran?
The only thing I’m left with after reading these Broadsheet Trailer Parks is what is the ACTUAL story with DelBoy?
Yes! Is he ever coming back?
You’ve killed Del Boy. I knew it. Or mislaid him under a load of old coats
No makeup = instant oscar.
The Cake is a lie!
Is there any chance you could amend the word “committed” to “died by” please ? It is no longer a crime to take your own life and the word “committed” is often associated with a crime. Thanks
Ah, no.
No.
Sorry I disagree. I have commited to paying off my loan by 2022, I have commited to paying my car lease payments every month, I have committed my life to my wife when we married.
None of these are a crime … although the interest rates are going up at a shocking pace so probably approaching criminal.
‘Committed to’ and ‘committed’ are different, though.
Ya wha………………. seriously…….
