Hey kids,
if you study hard, pass this leaving cert, get to college and study for 4 years plus to become a qualified teacher then you too could come back to this school and earn 50 euro a week.
Whats not to like.
Well when you put it like that it sounds like a disincentive!
Lol! Anyone who applies for this needs a self-esteem implant.
Although the “position” is advertised as a vacancy for a teacher, there is no requirement for any teaching qualifications or experience. They are asking for “Third level degree qualifications where IT is part of the degree programme”.
You will also get experience of “…extra curricular activities.”
Bad enough you have to do a full time job on the slave bridge, you are also expected to do extra hours.
Codology.
And having to put up with smart @rse children who probably spend more on phone credit than you make in a week doing your ‘job’.
Don’t student teachers already do a full year of ‘interning’ while getting their hdip (well, PGDE I think now) teaching for free? This is pretty ridiculous.
that’s what I thought too.
What’s the problem exactly?
How true – think of all the money this will save the taxpayer. The government is to be commended for its innovative use of slave labour
The person isn’t going to be a teacher. They’re going to be an intern to a teacher.
Sounds like one of the classroom assistants schools are crying out for.
And the best way to provide those classroom assistants is to get them off scam bridge?
As an avant-garde poet I find there are no real job bridge opportunities.
could you set up a job bridge to yourself and get an extra free 50 quid from a “magical loop”. you can call your company vicious circle.
Maybe write a poem about how you feel? Use it.
Well with Broadsheet Laureate John Moynes, maybe the there’s an opening for you at here…. g’wan… Give us your best ditty……
dreading the parent/intern meeting
…begrudgers…after 18months this intern could be on HIS way to Taoiseach.
Ha. My old school. I’m not surprised really with some of the teachers I had there back in the 90’s.
If Carlsberg did schools, they’d have Tommy Tiernan as principal.
IT department. Nobody in Castleisland handy with a server, then.
Con Houlihan must be turning in his grave.
Too much abuse of Job Bridge going on. People spending years training and probably self funding their education to come out with an extra 50 quid on top a dole payout, absolute joke.
