Nothing to see.

Adrienne Corless [daughter of historian Catherine Corless] tweetz:

So our local paper appears to downplay the children’s burial ground in its end-of-year review. This is disappointing…

The septic tank hoax is nothing compared to the exaggeration surrounding the number of paedophile and ephebophile priests and religious.

The abuses perpetrated by the church and state some 40, 50, 60, 70 years ago is nothing compared to the systematic abuse of vulnerable people that goes on in New Ireland (e.g.: Donegal nursing home abuse). The breakdown in society is on view every day of the week – all you have to do is walk from George’s Street, down Dame Street and up O’Connell Street to see that Dublin is full of low quality human beings with no interest other than their next fix (drink, drugs, food, nicotine, bum sex, shopping, etc.)

The New Ireland establishment media seems to have abandoned the idea of checking facts – when the unfashionable Catholic Church is the subject matter, fact checking is pretty much anathema. Sure Patsy McGarry is the in-house “expert” on all things Catholic as far as the Oirish Times is concerned.

History is no longer what happened – it’s what the populace “remembers”. If you say it loudly enough and for long enough, “truth” is no longer truth. Truth is what you’re led to believe.

      It is trolling, isn’t it?
-And on this occasion it’s more obvious than usual.

I used to think that maybe in some small isolated, insulated and insular spot, somewhere in Dear Ould Oireland, ABM could exist.

      Not any more.

ABM – Sad and lovely trolling on New Years Eve. Happy New Year you tragic loon. Suppose you’ll be having a great night loser, perhaps on your “friend’s farm”. Lol.

Fairly crass generalisation there Karl. The Catholic Church has also attracted a lot of very fine, selfless, caring, non-paedophilic men and women over its long history.

I remember abusive Christian Brothers and priests quite clearly. I’ve never met lower quality human beings than them… although their apologists come very close. You’re either a troll or a very sick pathetic man ABM.

    1. Mad Tiger

That is a solid and relevant point.
-ABM’s assumption that we’re all too young to care, or to be affected is…

…I don’t know what it is.
I know one thing for sure….It’s a bit too idiotic to become a Vatican Statement, , even under cuddly Francis’s regime.

      Get a grip ABM.
      You have the internet.
You can find the truth, and it lies in science, not religion.

Oh Christ…Why am I arguing with this cnut.*

*That’s a joke, believers. Atheists will get it..

The local media continuing its fine tradition of telling the locals that everything is grand, the olden days were the best of days, and sure, don’t those Dublin fools get excited about everything.
