      i think you’ll find haughey bought loads of it after he was minister for agriculture, sold it on for a hefty wedge to developers who then put up a parking lot.

        Nope a wife’s family are one of the family’s that farmed the land Mr Liam Lawlors was one of the few politicians that took advantage of cpo’s for personal gain!

        The DAA attempted to acquire all the land from Ballymun exit to M50 fly over and M1 originally! Most of the dogy CPO’s were on the 70’s to mid 80’s

          Big taxis aside, I recall landing at Dublin Airport once with an excited Yank beside me peering out on North Country Dublin who exclaimed, “Oh my! Look at all those lawns!”
