Rosebud? I’m not sure what the ? is all about. If it’s confusion; then Rosebud was his childhood sled. Kane’s longing for the simplicity, innocence and love he only experienced at that early time in his life, long since dead to him at that point and represented in that small object that still connected him to his past. Or just watch the Simpsons episode where Burns looks for Bobo his childhood bear. It’s the same story.
