You mean the libel battle with DOB in 2013, when DOB won his claim that he was portrayed as a hypocrite in a Daily Mail article penned by Paul about DOB’s charitable role in Haiti after the earthquake? Didn’t DOB win €150,000 plus costs, and much to the surprise and disappointment in the world of journalism generally, the Daily Mail didn’t appeal. Yes, that was a tough decision.
As for Paul, fine journalist and newspaper man, taken too young. RIP.
