“This lovely boy was rescued from Darndale [Dublin 17] yesterday where it seems he’s been sleeping rough for two weeks. He’s an absolute gentleman who seems very sad and matted and sore. Keeping faith that he wasn’t just dumped and that he has an owner out there looking for him. If anyone recognises him I’d be delighted to hear. Will bring him to the vet this morning to see if he’s chipped.”

Anyone?

He can’t help it. Maybe they should take him along to the vet at the same time, get him “fixed”….

Roisin, you could also try posting his picture and details to Lor’s Lost Dogs FB page, it seems to have a great success rate in reuniting dogs and owners. He looks lovely, I hope he’s got someone looking for him.

      +1, I hope he’s reunited in a happy home.

Interesting to hear him being described as “sad”, because practically every single dog in an elf/Santa outfit featured on here last year had exactly the same look, head lowered, lifeless eyes, that sort of thing, and yet, somehow, owners couldn’t see it. Strange.

Our pup was abandoned and found near Darndale last year. Weighed only 1 kg, the vet reckoned she was left there because she had a few illnesses (kennel cough and parvo) and the owners probably didnt want to pay vet bills :-( best dog ive ever known.

Its sickening to see the inhumanity in some so called people. I hope he kinds a forever home soon, good luck and fair play for rescuing him!
