This is the time of year where swans are making last years’ brood move on before they breed again. There are plenty of young swans looking for new homes. Two young swans in St. Stephen’s Green haven’t quite got the message yet (three of their siblings already left the Park) and are still hanging around though their parents won’t let them in the pond any more.

Yup saw a youngster making a brief landing in UCD’s main lake on Monday before being forced to get airborne again by the current residents.
All the good ones fly south for winter

On my way to work this morning this swan crash landed in the middle of the junction opposite slattery’s pub. Must have been on the lash at the weekend. I shooed him up to the grass there beside the barracks wall. Monday’s eh !?!
