Free in Cork on Sunday afternoon?

Stephen Kelly, lecturer in percussion at CIT Cork School of Music write:

I know you normally don’t do this but if you wouldn’t mind giving this concert a plug I’d be most grateful! There’s a fundraising concert this Sunday (29th March) at 2pm for in the Cork School of Music, Union Quay, Cork City. Suggested donation €10

Éabha O’Mahony (top) was born two years ago with a very rare condition called Aicardi syndrome – she was born without the corpus callosum which is the part of the brain that allows the left and right side communicate. As a result she needs 24 hour care & has already undergone many operations.

This fundraising concert will feature the Senior & Junior Percussion Ensembles of the Cork School of Music. The students will play a wide range of music from classical to samba (Ravel’s “Bolero”, “Sevilla” by Albeniz and arrangements of jazz and samba tunes by Nat Adderly, Quincy Jones and Antonio Carlos Jobim.) It’s a family event so everyone is welcome! There will also be a raffle…
