Amazing that the Dunnes Stores strike isn’t deemed worthy of any front page. 18,000 employees, a large number expected to be on strike and picketing tomorrow. Dunnes management just a shower of bullies.
And Stabby is penning a buke. Fine. As long as he doesn’t plagiarise my musical, we’re golden.
Thought the very same about the strike!!!
Soundings approximately Half of Dunnes 10,000 workers will be on strike today, those represented by mandate. In some cases and stores there will be no picket Blessigton for example.
Not sure where you pulled your numbers from but they are way off
18,000 workers came from Wiki
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunnes_Stores
As you know, Dunnes doesn’t publish accounts which might include stuff like headcount. It’s an unlimited company, so its profits are hidden. Odd that.
I just said “a large number” will be on strike. RTE reporting 6,000 this morning are on strike. That’s ” a large number”.
Mandate day above 5,000. That would be the number I use, your number is 3 times that? Remember Dunnes have operations outside of Ireland also
+1
Why no see how many pages of your newspaper are filled with advertisements from the likes of Dunnes Stores and other large supermarkets.
“Hodgson fears anti-IRA songs will mar Dublin match”
I would say ‘Ó’Neill fears final score will mar Dublin match’.
I’m sure a certain Irish section will be ‘letting the free birds fly’ anyway.
