Tattoo artist Keelin Corscadden‘s sneakers are based on “childhood memories and filled with sweets and candy…”

Damn hipster high-top giant Converse.

And 11 Irish-born or Ireland-based artists.

On canvas.

James Byrne writes:

‘Made by you’ is a global celebration of creative individuals, their stories and their sneakers. Converse Dublin office celebrated the campaign by recruiting 10 top Irish artists to express their creative spirit using a pair of Chuck Taylors. The works of art were revealed last night in The Button Factory [Temple Bar]….

But which pair would YOU wear?

FIGHT!

All of them. But maybe the couples edging it a shade, and the landscape shouldering behind them. Not as crisp as some of the others, but great heart, both of these.

If I was the ‘Creative Director’ of Converse Ireland I would be ashamed to show my face in public if this is the best artistic talent he could assemble, This is just bad, really bad…… Tired idea VERY poorly executed.

You obviously didn’t get an invite… Back off buddy… If you’ve nothing productive to say..shut it!

I love the Miriam Smithers ones, basically any pair except the caricature pair. Can’t stand caricatures … I also have no real interest in Kodaline.

You’d have to be suspicious of an artist who uses this opportunity to draw caricature pictures of a brutal band.
All decent efforts apart from those Kodaline monstrosities.
