Next weekend.
Would you like to perform your funniest joke in front of strangers?
Alison Martin writes:
New Line Theatre’s Word Play group brings its raucous, fun-packed family show Never Mind The Bullocks to The Bench [the biggest park bench in Europe] in Wexford’s Bullring on Saturday, May 2 (1pm) and Sunday, May 3 (2pm) as part of this year’s Jest Fest.
To celebrate, they are looking for the best joker around. All you have to do is come up with your funniest (original) joke in 100 words or less. The winner will get to perform their joke at The Bench as part of Jest Fest, or, if they prefer, see their joke performed by members of Word Play.
He or she will also get a signed copy of Tara Flynn’s ‘You’re Grand: The Irishwoman’s Secret Guide To Life’. Please send entries to newlinetheatre@gmail.com by 5pm Friday, May 1 or post your entry via Twitter @Newlinetheatre.
