My better half just back from bringing a school trip to Paris. Made the mistake of stopping for 2 cheese toasties, 2 Cokes, a tea and a coffee.

Meanwhile, in Las Vegas…

Why are the images on the broadsheet posts before you click never related to the story? It’s irritating!
    Rant over.

    1. Atticus

Happens with their Facebook posts too. Last week they had a missing person post with the wrong pic. Scarleh!

    2. Dongle

Not as annoying as when you scroll through a story and it jumps to the next story.

In the George V!! What was she expecting! Stay off main thoroughfares and stuff will be way cheaper

    1. bob

Yup. No complaint. Pointing out a mistake that was made. She has learned from it. Now more can do so also!

Stops for coffee on one of the most expensive streets in one of the most expensive cities in Europe. Complains. Do they not teach common sense in teacher college?

And the George V no less .. its restaurant is the most exclusive (read expensive) venue in Paris for a meal of any kind, with only two Michelin stars to its name. What did they expect?

I don’t really see a complaint in the accompanying comment. It’s got more of a “wouldya look at this tone” to it.

However, I can’t see why they’d be surprised, with that address.

No. Her mistake was paying for the items. That’s the work of a master buffoon.

    1. Badger4hire

Her mistake was ordering the items…

Sure it’ll all go down as expenses anyway

  5. Rugbyfan

    Bargain…
Now fupp off and stop annoying us about how much you or yours paid for stuff.
Price lists are generally on show before you buy!
Glad your better half doesn’t teach my kids….there is a huge difference between teaching and educating!!

“sure we’ll just pop into this five star hotel frequented by Arab billionaires on the most expensive street in Europe , they’ll do cheap sangers n’tae I’d say “

    No one was complaining.
My wife is a teacher and merely wanted you to see where your taxes go when you pay for her to gallivant around Paris.
She says thank you, by the way.

jesus, it’s the champs elysees. go a couple blocks either side and you’d have taken twenty quid off the bill.

Why do I still click in to read the comments on these ones? Can anyone tell me? I’ve known the responses off by heart for two years now; still click the comments bubble.

It’s me I’m mad at, not you guys.

When is she going on strike next Emmett?
Need to plan my next 20 minute lie in.

I stopped for a light lunch on the Champs-Élysées with a woman I was trying to impress at the time. I was expecting it to be a hefty bill; instead it amounted to about fifteen euro in modern terms. Cue extended ribbing about how I managed to pick the cheapest café on the Champs-Élysées.

“Cheese toastie” ??? I dare you. There is a lot more work that goes in a Croque than a toastie!!

Oh and very good value for the location.

Looks like a lunch for two.. are you sure she was there with a bunch of kids or were they left in the school bus with their home made hang sandwiches and fizzy orange while two teachers scoffed their tasty (probably not tasty) expensive lunch?
