They really should have spent some money on consultants or something to make sure things like this didn’t happen.

Eh, they did get it right, they sent the correction with the bill so what’s the problem, other than something for people going looking for people to find a problem with ?

Makes up for the worshippers who don’t see a problem with any of it.

        Bullcrap !

The whole of IW comes across as an incompetent mess. Mistakes like this do absolutely nothing but further damage any confidence people have in it.

Add to that, their payment system is, from my dealings with them, antiquated already… their first direct debit I had to cancel… couldn’t get a straight answer out of them on whether they could take it out in the first week of a month, any month, or not. Was advised to cancel the direct debit and start again…. bunch o’ muppets.

That’s what happens when you rush things.

Bound to be mistakes like this. Endless drafts of content rushed through to printers, changed, re-sent, changed again.

if you read the text, you’ll see this is a supplemental sheet because they had an extra digit in the official leaflet by accident.

That’s what happens when jobs for the boys supersedes qualified to do the job.

I guess they made a choice, re-print all the booklets again,(at huge cost) or print a 1 page note pointing out the mistake.
Still – prevention is better than cure… This is what happens when an extra tax is added in the guise of “services”. In the past the councils looked after water. We pay property tax to the council.
Remove water from the councils and make people pay separately.
started with the bins a few years back.. nice little earner, except the private companies got the extra money there. The next question is, what else do the councils do that can be isolated and charged seperately?

With all the people who have lead/boil notices in their homes, sounds like the councils were doing a bad job.

But jeez – has any utility gotten off to a worse start than IW?

I never received a bill, notification or invoice, just some lads put a water meter outside the house, not paying because I reckon they don’t have me on the register, ( just bought a house through executor sale that was vacant for years ) even if they did ,it will be years before they cop on, and they made a balls of the bills etc from what I have seen.

Are you trying to praise them by saying they managed to fix their own fupp up?

Just like the guy earlier on, how can it be wrong, they printed a correction!

      Good lord.

Ha get off the internet will ye.

You’re blaming irish water for boil water notices that existed in Roscommon for years prior to the establishment of the company in 2013. Probably should blame Roscommon county council who let the problem fester for ages.

They somehow have acquired my housemates bank details, he didnt fill them in on form as we’d planned on paying through post office-anybody any clues as to how they got their hands them?
